Tate's "hand on the ball" does not count as possession.

And I also won $ on the play.

That play was a joke all the way around.  Can't believe they f'ed it up even with replay.

What are the real refs asking for anyway?  It must include something crazy.  I dont think this is over a 2 dollar an hour raise.

i'm sure if we went to covers this same time last year, we'd see several threads about how games are fixed because the refs suck.  yet, because these new refs are also bad, all of the sudden the regular refs are great.  the media in this country makes people stupid.

Tate, 100%, clearly, without a doubt, pushed off. OFFENSIVE PASS INTERFERENCE, and no one can argue that.

Now come on Vanzack, you are smarter than this. You know it was not simultaneous possession. You know the defense caught the ball and put it to his CHEST, then the offensive dude just was touching the ball. Van, you are better than this.

Huh?  Just shooting the shit over a very close play.

The "offensive dude" had a hand on the ball when possession was gained - and then the other hand got on the ball.  I think - by rule - that is simultaneous possession.

If that hurts my reputation in the esteemed covers community, so be it.

Nah, Jennings caught it.  Jennings also caught Tate's arm which allowed Tate to later bring his other arm in to wrestle with Jennings for the ball after Jennings had both feet down in the end zone

Vanzack - either your bored and just trying to irritate people with your comments or your stupid, or you may be both.

Either way I hope the reason you have not backtracked is because in Guinea they have banned the ability to watch NFL game replays.

If you watch it you can see clearly how horrible that call was.  Horrible.  Please wake up.

Van, how come the ref on TV said that the Def player had the ball and cradled it to his chest?

Well - he is a former ref who might have an interest in making the situation better for his buddies.

He is also about 100 years old.

I dont fucking know.  It is a judgement call.  Like a ball or a strike.  I think you will hear a lot of different viewpoints on it this week.  We are taking stabs at something 15 minutes old here - give it a few hours - pretty sure you will hear intelligent debates on both sides of this one.

It was clearly intercepted. It was also clearly offensive PI. The NFL is a disgrace.

yes there was, the entire time jennings had sole possession of the ball until they were wrestling on the ground.  Tate having his arm tangled up with jennings doesn't mean he had possession of the ball.  If you have one finger on the ball that doesn't make it possession.  Wake up

Van, Jennings was higher than Tate, he caught the ball from the very start. Can't you see that? Jennings caught/touched, the ball first, and made a full catch. Now, going down is when Tate put his hands on the ball.
