I haven't commented on a thread in I don't know how long. I don't say much on here just sit back and enjoy the entertainment and try to consume all I need to to beat the book BUT this is a great "debate" so to speak and ill give my 2 cents.....Do i believe some games are fixed? Maybe..... Overall, Vegas is just that good!!!! Been betting for about 15 years and the majority of the time my mentality of betting on a game is that Vegas knows what the outcome is gonna be. Are they gonna be right all the time? F NO!!! BUT the majority of the time!!!!! Is there such thing as "bait" lines? You better freaking bet your behind there is!!!! I've made lots of money on those kind of lines. If anyone thinks Vegas dont bait you in SOME situations you're an absolute moron!!!! Not every game of course but you gotta do your research and pick the right games and angles to throw down the wood when you get an opportunity.... The way I cap games isn't solely based on what I think Vegas is trying to "make" you bet because it isn't that easy. You gotta do your own research and analysis on numbers, trends, etc etc and pick your spots... In the end, Vegas knows what's going on 75%+ of the time and more times than not the line determines the game. Just gotta see what perspective Vegas is looking at it from
Great post man. I believe that you're spot on... Bait lines are a great thing to bet against... For me, I really want to let the line tell the story... It's a great thing to incorporate with all of your own personal knowledge... If you evaluate a game and the line just seems noticeably off, bet the opposite.
We've all done this long enough, we can all pretty much predict what a line will roughly be before they're released... It's a great angle to look out for discrepancies.

NEVER HAPPEN!!!....A MEDIOCRE TO "BOTTOM OF THE BARREL TEAM" WILL hardly "ever" WIN 9 IN A ROW....However, it's about the spread....Eh?.....Good teams can win, yet NOT COVER....They win,, the bettor loses, Vegas wins....Here's one I follow a lot----Teams in weeks 2,3 or 4, who are 0-2, 0-3, and hardly ever in week 4, and who are favorites, DO NOT cover at quite a high percentage....If Giants remain favorite, they're 0-2, I'll take Carolina....Regardless now, I',m still taking Carolina...Also, can't see M. the players dont have to be on it for it to be fixed.
the refs are the ones who control the momentum of the game. holding can be called on every play and thats just one penalty that they can call if they feel like it. pass interference can be called or not also for an automatic first down.
if anyone was blind enough to not see what happen JUST LAST YEAR with the gb vs sea game, then im sorry to say that with a mind set of the average joe will not last long in this game. and if you have a house, wife, and kids...kiss them goodbye too....
