All you have to do is ask anyone whose watched TV during his 6 game winning streak.

I find it funny that you're nitpicking now by asking for the impossible. Is that the level you've stooped to?

So Tebow sucks because he has poor stats, but the Denver defense who ranks 20th in the NFL is good because you “don’t need to go by stats" with them.

Have you SEEN Tebow play? THAT is why I say he sucks. Because I WATCH this guy every week and he's not good. And when he picks up where he left off next season...I won't have to watch him every week anymore.

On the flip side...I've seen these games by the defense and so many times they've kept the Broncos in the game.


You say Tebow doesn't suck but dismiss his stats. Then you say Denver's defense isn't good because of stats.

You implied there were plenty of people in this thread that called Tebow a great NFL QB/player.

I responded that I could recall only one person doing such a thing in this thread and challenged you to post a link to some others.

Apparently asking you back up your claim is “asking for the impossible.”

And hey...you're right. I'm looking through this thread and I haven't seen people say that he's great. But I've seen a TON of people call him a winner. I've seen people with some backhanded compliments saying that he's flawed but he's winning. So does that mean, when he's no longer winning, that he sucks? Because it doesn't seem that people were denying that he sucks. People were just saying that he's a winner.

And Tebow’s stats reflect that he isn’t a good player.

Just as the stats from the Denver defense reflect they aren’t a good unit.

Yet the stats for Tebow are valid while they stats for the Denver defense are meaningless because you “don’t need to go by stats” for them.

I realize you hate Tebow with a passion, but try to be objective.

But the way people were attacking me for saying he sucks...you can't blame me for thinking that people thought he was godlike because they were sure acting like it because he was winning.

Sometimes all you have to do is imply something to get people thinking something else. That's life. What can ya do?

All in all...Tebow hasn't been headlining much recently so I'm content.

And you haven't answered my question. Have you SEEN these games? Like actually sat down and watched entire Broncos games?

It comes from hype. An average player doesn't get hype. A great/potentially great player gets hype. And lets face it...who was the last player to have the hype Tebow had during his 6 game winning streak?

And that stats are flawed because of early injuries to key players and monster games by some of the top offenses in football in the Packers, Patriots and Lions. Plus...the 21 points given up against the Bills that were off special teams and turnovers go towards their points per game numbers as well.

If a defense really is good then they are at least going to rank in the top half of the league.  Denver ranks 20th in yards allowed and 24th in points allowed.  There is no stat you can conjure that can cancel out those rankings.

Now, of course you are free to believe any defense you want is a good defense.   That’s your opinion and right.

As for Tebow’s games: I’ve seen every one of them this season, but I did tune out towards the ends of the Detroit and Buffalo blowouts.

Players/teams get hype/attention based on what sells.  Take a look at the Texans earlier this season.  They were one of the best teams in the NFL but pretty much no one at ESPN gave a shit because the Texans don’t sell.

During Denver’s 6 game winning streak there wasn’t a player in all of sports selling better than Tim Tebow.

Well...I did see a guy named "spooker" say that he's a phenom. And a guy named "navi" saying that he will be a hall of famer". And a guy named "GMTFAN say that he'll be the "2nd MVP".

Maybe non of those say "great" but if they aren't implying it...then I have no idea WHAT they're implying.

So how could you deny that the defense has been good when they put forth games such as the ones against Miami, Kansas City (twice), New York, at San Diego and against Chicago and Buffalo?
