I do. And if you make allowances for everyone...than a 20th ranked defense isn't as bad as it sounds.

Or like I said in a much earlier post. Maybe I am wrong about the defense. Maybe facing these weak offenses in the Jets, Chiefs (twice), Chicago, Miami, San Diego (before Rivers started to heat up) and Buffalo (after Fitzpatrick's great start), was the reason the defenses played so well.

But if that is the case...than it helps my strength of schedule argument even more.

Well between you and Sparky, I have to call this an undeniable split decision and I KNOW you will never back down. Just call it a truce.

 You both have met your equal match and if I was in a jury, I would  definitely  be "hung" AND  beaten down

I can't wait for DENVER to lose this weekend. Please God, put Timmy out of this season's misery of all these unrealistic AND unattainable expectations And to put this THREAD to it's deserving DEATH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That’s the point.  If you make allowances and excuses for all the teams then it wouldn’t change any of their rankings very much.  Denver’s defense would still be ranked about 20th.

And I have no idea what your strength of schedule argument is.

I'm responding to the earlier question where you asked someone to find you guys who called him great.

And one person said he's great while someone said he'll be an MVP, another person said he'll be the 2nd MVP, another person called him a phenom and another person called him a Hall of Famer.

Continue to play lawyer and say that they didn't say the word GREAT. But if you can't see that MVP, runner up for MVP, phenom and Hall of Famer are different ways of implying that they think someone is great, than there is nothing I can do because everyone else can see it and you're just arguing for the sake of arguing.

But I thought that they can only play who is in front of them and a win (or in this case, a great defensive showing) is what it is no matter the competition.

My argument is that the defense is more of a reason for the Broncos winning than Tebow was. Is your argument that Tebow is more of a reason for the Broncos winning than the defense?

You gotta be more specific than that so I have something to work with. Doesn't suck can be great, average, below average, etc. right? So which is it.

The defense "isn't good" could mean that they suck, they're average or below average.

I just need to know where you stand so I don't speculate.

My strength of schedule argument is that Tebow hasn't beaten any good enough teams to have deserved the praise that he was given. Nor did he put up good numbers against these teams.

Hey man. I'm with you 100%. I can't stand Bayless and I hate Stephen A Smith even more. But I'm not lying when Bayless puts this guy on a pedestal and praises him.

So I've seen 5 people in the first 2 weeks say these things and everyone else implying it by bashing me. Unless someone says "he may not win pretty, but he's a winner" and other things along those lines, which there were plenty, than I take it as they think they're great.

I don’t think either side can honestly claim perfect victory.  However, I think the fact that Tebow took over a below average-terrible 1-4 team and led them to a division title with arguably the worst set of offensive weapons in the NFL and the 20th ranked defense (that supposedly carried him) tends to lend credence to the argument that, all things considered, he doesn’t suck.

My argument is that Tebow sucks and got waaaaaaay too much credit for the Broncos wins when the credit should have gone to the Broncos defense far more than Tebow.
