I'm not going by my own philosophy here. I'm saying that if everyone is going to praise Tebow like a God...than he needs to compete with top teams.

Facing top teams DOES prove something if everyone is hyping him up like he's turned the Broncos INTO a top team. If you're going to worship the guy like he's a great...than you have to expect him to COMPETE with other greats.

You are right Sparky, COMPETE not BEAT.

If the Broncos give the Pats all they can handle and lose 24-21 or something like that I think the hype is warranted.

I've already said it, Brady is a hall of famer and ever Marino, Elway or Montana would have a tough time BEATING the Pats

    Don't you?

So turnovers play no factor?  Because that’s a large reason why Denver keeps winning.  Tebow rarely turns the ball over.

I can't believe when I'm betting Denver the shit that is happening and that they actually cover this crap O performance.

Denver had no right to be the game?

I don’t think Tebow, his teammates, his coaches, his fans, or his backers give a shit whether “he had a right to be in the game.”

All that matters is wins and losses and all Tebow does is find ways to win.

I would rather have a below average quarterback that goes into beast mode when it matters most and finds ways to win over an above average quarterback that chokes when it matters most and finds ways to lose.

I thought it was pretty obvious he was joking about Tebow beating the Packers in the super bowl by throwing for 450+ yards with 6 TDs.

They are just a decent team with a hardworking qb. They've still beaten nobody to brag about. Yeah, it's great that he performs so well when the game is on the line, but in most of those games he wouldn't even have had a shot to do that if the defense didn't hold up the team.

Especially against the Jets. The defense and special teams were on fire that game. They pinned the Jets deep several times. Held them to 10 points and gave Tebow excellent field position almost every drive, but he couldn't do shit with it until the final drive.

Beating the 2-9 Vikings without their best player isn't much of an accomplishment. Especially when it was only by 3 and it came down to the final seconds.

The Raiders the 1st week after losing Campbell and McFadden.

The Lions.. Well we know how that went.

The Dolphins before they won their first game and got something going.

And now they have the Bears without Forte and Cutler.

C'mon man you have to admit that he's been extremely fortunate. They haven't beaten a playoff caliber team yet.

Like I said in my first post though, I've been impressed with the progress he's made thus far. I think in seasons to come, he could become a great qb. This season they aren't going anywhere though. They'll make the playoffs, but they aren't making it past the second round, more than likely they'll get knocked out in the first.

Earthwake you are right, it was really late and I missed a word, it should have said "the teams they were playing were NOT as good as the teams they played against in the begining of the season

The teams John Skelton started against are not as good as the Kolb games. The teams Tim Tebow started against are not as good as the teams Orton started against.

You are right that the teams Arizona  played had something to do with them being 1 - 6 and then going 3 - 1, but why would you not think that the teams Denver played had something to do with them going 1 - 4 and then 6 - 1 ?

Steve Young made some comment about how Tim Tebow isn’t playing championship football.

    Seriously?

That’s what the Tebow-haters have had to reduce to?

First they said he wouldn’t be a first round pick.

Once he proved them wrong they said he would never be a starting NFL QB.

Once he proved them wrong again they said he would never win as an NFL QB.

Once he proved them wrong again they said he couldn’t keep winning as an NFL QB.

And now that he has proved them wrong yet again their whole argument has become he can’t win a Super Bowl.

Think about that for a second.

Instead of talking about how a 2nd year player that was a 4th string QB a few months ago has had a 6-1 record with a 1-4 team and gotten them into first place becoming one of the most clutch QBs in the NFL this season they are talking about how he can’t win a super bowl.

They should just man the fuck up and admit they were wrong about him and move on.

It would be like claiming it’s going to rain on Thursday, but when it doesn’t rain instead of saying you were wrong you try to change the argument to its not going to rain on Friday.  Then when it doesn’t rain on Friday you try to change the argument to it’s not going to rain on Saturday.  And then when it doesn’t rain on Saturday…

Keep at it long enough and eventually you’ll get one right so you can then completely ignore the 10+ times you were wrong and proclaim you were right all along.

If he has not done much more then John Skelton as this point, what does it really prove? Skelton a 2nd year player that was 4th string last year who has a 3 - 1 record with a 1 - 6 team and 2 4th quarter comebacks.

Yeah that is an outlandish statement if true from Young. He should never be compared to winning a championship for quite some time. He is doing very well in terms of winning and being a 2nd year Qb. But gawd it is still so fucking ugly! I think that's what Young would be talking about if anything. Stupid to say championship. Should have just said he is winning in the ugliest of fashions. nuff said.

It proves he doesn’t suck like the title of this thread claims.  It also proves that the majority of his haters aren’t man enough to admit they were wrong and instead keep trying to change what the argument is about every time he proves them wrong.

I'm sorry Shooter. As one of these "haters" even though I have been fortunate to bank the last few weeks on Denver, until the O looks normal or at least can win a game in normal fashion I can't eat crow. The offense still looks awful. Last week was a huge improvement and started to resemble a professional O. Every game they have won is coming back or in a ugly duck throwing contest (KC). I guess what I can't take my mind off of is going back to the MIA game. I was on MIA and lost and got Moosed. Big deal too bad so sad for me lol. It was the last pass to I believe the DEN TD where he dove and caught the ugliest fucking duck I have ever seen! It was the complete opposite of a spiral. No pressure, hit or on the move. Just something i couldn't even throw. Then this fucker caught this thing in between two guys at the 2 or 3 yard line. Me and my friend looked at each other and were laughing at how ugly that was. I think the words were obviously EWWWWWWWWW!!!! Are you fucking kidding me? We are both Florida supporters too. Wis is our first team but like the Gators. I assume because we have seen them play three times live being down on business.

Anyway I can't get that paly outta my head and it sums up this broncos O and how the win these shitfests. Hell, all the power to them and will I bet them against the bears? Hell yeah but you have to laugh at how this is going down! I mean come on! You can't get a chuckle outta how pathetic each win is. A win is a win and that is awesome but until they start looking like an O that can drive the ball consistent at all I have to say he is still below average. I'm sry!

I’ll take an “ugly QB” that goes into beast mode when it matters most and just finds ways to win over a QB with above average stats that chokes when it matters most and just finds ways to lose football games.

This same thing happened in 2006 with Vince Young when he went on a miracle run, 21 point comebacks, OT wins, you name it. The Titans rallied from way down and almost made the playoffs that year. The formula was the exact same he was not making mistakes and playing with a good run game and defense. Everyone was saying the same things then that they were about Tebow. It was a nice run for Young that year and it's a nice run for Tebow this year but long term it probably won't last, just like it didn't for Young.

That’s what it’s come to, huh? “Well, he might be able to win as an NFL QB, but he can’t win pretty.”

Also if you going to find a QB to rant about how ugly he is you might want to find one that doesn’t have the best TD/INT ratio in the NFL.

But, John Skelton does suck, so by doing the same thing John Skelton has done does not really prove it. I am not saying that Tebow sucks, I am saying it does not prove it.

It was a nice run for Young that year and it's a nice run for Tebow this year but long term it probably won't last, just like it didn't for Young.

Right now Tebow has a TD/INT ratio of 10:1.  That's the best in the NFL.

Vince Young threw more INTs in 2006 than TDs.

    Slight difference.

But you really don't believe that will stand up do you? Because it won't. It is just variance, sooner or later it will catch up with him. When you are so inaccurate that you can't complete 50% of your passes sooner or later your will start throwing picks.

Oh boy, okay sure he is not throwing pics and has the best TD/INT ratio but again these wins Denver is having is ridiculous! They will not keep this up i promise you that! You CANNOT keep coming back and winning ugly like this all year. It just doesn't happen and when it does you have to laugh at it cause it won't happen again. Sure Tebow and Denver goes to the playoffs but not as decent O. You know this and quit being so dumb! You are such a good poster on here. You know damn well his games have been ridiculous. Okay Tebow isn't turning the ball over and is playing as a game manager but WTF I would love to be sitting next to you during all the last games so you could show how good this O is looking all game! It is pathetic! It resembles the Ravens O during the superbowl run. Good for them that they are coming back and winning games but there is NO WAY this lasts a whole year or likely not even the rest of this year. You just have to enjoy it while it lasts and have fun with it. UNLESS Tebow gets better and the O starts resembling and O. You can't possbily put an average of 200-250 yards a games and keep winning. Eventually the TO's, D, ST Td's will run out.
