Sure Tebow and Denver goes to the playoffs but not as decent O. You know this and quit being so dumb! You are such a good poster on here. You know damn well his games have been ridiculous. Okay Tebow isn't turning the ball over and is playing as a game manager but WTF I would love to be sitting next to you during all the last games so you could show how good this O is looking all game! It is pathetic! It resembles the Ravens O during the superbowl run. Good for them that they are coming back and winning games but there is NO WAY this lasts a whole year or likely not even the rest of this year. You just have to enjoy it while it lasts and have fun with it. UNLESS Tebow gets better and the O starts resembling and O. You can't possbily put an average of 200-250 yards a games and keep winning. Eventually the TO's, D, ST Td's will run out.

What are you blathering about?  Who said Denver had a good offense?  Looks like you’ve been reduced to arguing with strawmen.

That Ravens team had one of the best defenses of all time and Denver has a defense that ranks 24th this season.  And you call other people “so dumb.”

It’s not enough that a guy that was a 4th string QB a few months ago took over a shitty 1-4 team that had thrown in the towel and went 6-1 to get them into first place becoming one of the most clutch QBs in the NFL this season. No, no.  He has to put up pretty numbers as well.

It's not about putting up pretty numbers but putting up numbers that over a season get teams to where they gotta go. You can't keep winning when an O can't sustain drives. You know without a doubt that the way Denver has been winning is not how god teams win. You can't keep coming form behind every game. The luck/tebow clutchness will runout. They need to start putting up yards and doing their share on this team. Right now the team is one sided. The TO ratio is great and helps big time. The O has been making a couple big drives a game and overall not pulling their weight.

For example just look at the jets game!!! Okay so the O puts up 120 yards all game and 3 PTS themselves (pick 6 was the other 7) then tebow has the one drive and is the hero? GTFOH! No mention of the symie D. Even in my books as clutch as that last drive was, watching that whole game the O was garbage!

Or how about the HUGE yardage he put up vs MIA? lol. Guy needs a duck pass caught and then a ST onside recovery.

There is one thing for sure and it is some magic going on because these wins and they fashion they are getting these breaks are hilarious. They win win for sure again this week but most likely in some kind gross fashion. Maybe 200 total yards? lol

Key to playing Denver is easy...Move the ball and don't turn it over or once or so and dont have stupid special teams errors and you will be fine.

The O needs to get better overall and you know this as well. Tebow is nothing more than average currently. It is not him that has this team at 6-1. It is the coaching, D and obvious breaks happening all over. It is obvious. The O gets no credit in my books here. I would love for you to tell the players on the Denver D and McGahee and Fox that tebow is the main reason they are winning not them. I bet even the Denver players and recievers are saying gawd this guy is a joke sometimes. Sometimes clutch, always trying but soemtimes a joke. We all see the ball flying around Shooter. Dirts them, 20 yards over there head, etc. He will be a long time player somewhere or maybe even a part time QB but unless something chnages big time Denver will not continue to win this ugly all the time.

If I could rename this thread now is would be Tebow still sucks but is one of the most clutch Qb's when needed.

Quit bringing up this Den 24th ranked D as well. Most of that was at 1-4. Also had many injuries out. Anyone can see the d has saved them in all games but the minn. And even in the minnie game when they give up significant yardage the score a pick 6 and get the game winning fg. They may be getting yardage against but they sure as shit are putting pts up for the O

It's not that people said Denver has a good O. It's that if Tebow was at least efficient the O would be moving the ball more and sustaining good drives. The O being crap is more of an indication that Tebow is more so just clutch then good. But the only way for him to be clutch in most of the games they've play is because the D has been outstanding!

What you continue to fail to understand is we are talking about a team that was terrible before Tebow became the starter.   The fact that they keep winning and are now in first place is amazing enough.

You keep talking like they were a top 5 favorite to win the super bowl before the season started.

They went from being in the Luck sweepstakes to being in first place.  Oh, but he doesn’t have pretty numbers so who gives a shit if he is doing something never seen before, right?

If you are going to compare Denver’s defense to one of the greatest defenses of all time you can bet your ass I’m going to keep bringing up how Denver is ranked 24th in defense this season to keep proving how extremely wrong you are.

No shooter, he deserves credit for coming i and handling the toughest position in the whole nfl well. he has not been shit but not been good. This has been a total team effort. If the D was anything like it was in the first 5 games then they wouldn't be in this spot. If they haven't got lucky breaks here and there they wouldn't be in this spot. I totally commend him for handling the situation well and I'm sure he is trying everyday unlike any other nfl player but there needs to be drastic improvement.

Shooter, I've never once compared the ravens d to the broncos. Please quote me on where I said that. My argument is that Tebow just has to be like Dilfer and just be efficent and they seem to be getting the job done. That would be a crazy statement to compare the two. I'm merely comparing the scores of the games/ scenarios.

A total team effort that was sparked by Tim Tebow.

What Tim Tebow haters don’t want to acknowledge is that while the defense has been playing better, part of that is due to Tim Tebow being the QB.

Some of them act like all of this would have been happening regardless of who was playing QB.

“It resembles the Ravens O during the superbowl run.”

Dilfer was backed by one of the greatest defenses in NFL history.  In fact, statistically, they were the best (IIRC).  Not too many times was he asked to come up with a game winning drive late in the game.

Tebow is backed by a defense that ranks 24th in the NFL this season.  In about half his starts he has had to lead a late game winning drive.

Dilfer didn’t have to win games.  He just had to not lose them.

Tebow doesn’t have that luxury.  He has to win games.

I will clearly acknowledge as well tebow is in part the reason den d has been good but still he is clearly not moving the ball like an efficient qb.

First off, don't ever compare Captain Christian to Vince Young....and Vince Young is my favorite player. Young is a player that can't handle losing.....he tends to be a bit of a baby when he doesn't win, something he needs to learn to do in order to be a complete professional.....Tebow on the other hand, ala The Florida College Speech, accepts loses and wants to come back harder everytime he fails.....big, big differance. Tebows a team leader something Young needs as a quarterback.....no crying in football. Love Vince Young but Captain Christian and his complete confidence in our lord will prove what faith and dedication can do in our lives. They are nothing at all alike!!!!

Let's be real, Tebow's a good player, and improving every week. OP is a straight moron for talking trash despite a 6-1 record.

Forget the defense, I give the most props to John Fox, who's coached a hell of a season.

    Seriously?

That’s what the Tebow-haters have had to reduce to?

First they said he wouldn’t be a first round pick.

Once he proved them wrong they said he would never be a starting NFL QB.

Once he proved them wrong again they said he would never win as an NFL QB.

Once he proved them wrong again they said he couldn’t keep winning as an NFL QB.

And now that he has proved them wrong yet again their whole argument has become he can’t win a Super Bowl.

Think about that for a second.

Instead of talking about how a 2nd year player that was a 4th string QB a few months ago has had a 6-1 record with a 1-4 team and gotten them into first place becoming one of the most clutch QBs in the NFL this season they are talking about how he can’t win a super bowl.

They should just man the fuck up and admit they were wrong about him and move on.

It would be like claiming it’s going to rain on Thursday, but when it doesn’t rain instead of saying you were wrong you try to change the argument to its not going to rain on Friday.  Then when it doesn’t rain on Friday you try to change the argument to it’s not going to rain on Saturday.  And then when it doesn’t rain on Saturday…

Keep at it long enough and eventually you’ll get one right so you can then completely ignore the 10+ times you were wrong and proclaim you were right all along.

Yeah, it's great that he performs so well when the game is on the line, but in most of those games he wouldn't even have had a shot to do that if the defense didn't hold up the team.

Especially against the Jets. The defense and special teams were on fire that game. They pinned the Jets deep several times. Held them to 10 points and gave Tebow excellent field position almost every drive, but he couldn't do shit with it until the final drive.

Beating the 2-9 Vikings without their best player isn't much of an accomplishment. Especially when it was only by 3 and it came down to the final seconds.

GREEN BAY ONLY BEAT THE VIKINGS BY 6, DETROIT ONLY BEAT THEM BY 3, AND OAKLAND ONLY BEAT THEM BY 6.

The Raiders the 1st week after losing Campbell and McFadden.

OAKLAND BEAT THE JETS, HOUSTON AND CHICAGO!!!

The Lions.. Well we know how that went.

The Dolphins before they won their first game and got something going.

    THAT MEANS NOTHING.
ALSO, LOST TO THE GIANTS BY 3, LOST TO DALLAS BY 1, BEAT OAKLAND BY 20.

And now they have the Bears without Forte and Cutler.

EVERY TEAM HAS TO DEAL WITH INJURIES THIS LATE IN THE SEASON AND THE BEARS HAVE WAY MORE TALENT STILL ON OFFENSE THEN DENVER AND A BETTER DEFENSE THAN DENVER.

C'mon man you have to admit that he's been extremely fortunate. They haven't beaten a playoff caliber team yet.

THEY BEAT OAKLAND (7-5) AND IN THE WILD CARD HUNT AND
THEY BEAT THE JETS (7-5) WHO ARE ALSO IN THE WILD CARD CHASE.

Like I said in my first post though, I've been impressed with the progress he's made thus far. I think in seasons to come, he could become a great qb. This season they aren't going anywhere though.

DENVER IS (7-5) LEADING THEIR DIVISION AND OWNS ALL THE TIE-BREAKERS WITHIN THEIR DIVISION TO GET IN THE PLAYOFFS!

They'll make the playoffs, but they aren't making it past the second round, more than likely they'll get knocked out in the first.

HOW IS THIS A TEAM THAT IS GOING ANYWHERE, AS YOU STATED IN THE PARAGRAPH ABOVE.
I AM PRETTY SURE THEIR IS A HOST OF TEAMS IN THE NFL THAT WOULD BE THRILLED TO GET IN THE PLAYOFFS!

AGAIN, I SAID EARLIER, THESE ARGUMENTS DON'T HOLD ANY WEIGHT, CAUSE GREAT TEAMS EITHER STRUGGLED TO BEAT THESE AVERAGE/BAD TEAMS OR LOST TO THEM!!!

Would you stop with the whole Denver is 24th in the league in total defense! They had a ton of injuries in the first five games of the season to main players. You have to give Tebow credit, but lets be honest that d has been the main reason there winning! They come up with a big play in the 4th quarter or overtime every single week. Sorry but the whole Tebow fairytale will be over by the middle of next year. Just ask Vince Young.

As a life long Broncos fan, didn't care much for the guy when the Broncos first drafted because I just didn't believe he could lead this team to victories. After hearing the entire NFL media analyst (Keyshawn, Chris Carter, Hodge) lambast this guy after the Detroit loss, and then getting right back on his feet and beating the much hated Raiders. I can't help but root for him.

Yeah we seen this before with Vince Young, unlike VY, nobody expected him to have any kind of success at the Pro level. What he's about to do in 2011 will forever be immortalize into NFL forklore. An unconventional option QB taking a Broncos team dead last in their division at 1-4, to a Division title winners. You just can't make this stuff up. He'll they might even make it to the Superbowl and people still be whining.

This is a great story for the NFL this year, just like when Mike Vick surprised everyone that he can still play QB at a very high level last, despite being in prison for 2 years.

Denver’s defense is ranked 24th this season.  It’s understandable that fact pisses off Tebow haters because it makes their “the defense is the reason this team is doing well and Tebow has little to do with it” argument look silly.

So the reason the defense started played better with Tebow at QB was because they had a ton of injuries and those injuries magically went away after 5 games?  Tebow had absolutely nothing to do with it?

Face it: this is the same defense that Orton had when they were 1-4.  Tebow is the main reason this team is where they are right now.

There is a big difference between Tim Tebow and Vince Young.  First off, Tebow protects the ball.  Tebow has the best TD:INT ratio in the NFL.  In 2006 VY threw more INTs than TDs.

Also Tebow is a great leader and a hard worker with an amazing amount of confidence and a positive attitude that is infectious.  Young is a whinny little bitch.

Just trying to be realistic. No stud reciever is ever going to come and play with tebow and this offense. And why would they draft a good reciever? It makes no sense with the offense they are running. To win a superbowl you pretty much have to have a #1 or atleast a couple real good twos. I could almost guarantee you that Decker would much rather be in a prototypical NFL offense.
