I could almost guarantee you that Decker would much rather be in a prototypical NFL offense.

What is realistic about assuming a 2nd year QB who threw for about 10,000 yards in college with a completion percentage of 67% is never going to be a decent NFL QB?

The kid only has 10 career starts under his belt and continues to get better each week yet the haters are 100% sure he will never become a legit NFL QB.

As most of you may know, I've been riding the Tebow train for the last 5 weeks and its been more than profittable.

Last week was the first time I was hesitant to back Tebow as a 1 pt road favorite against a team with a solid D line. I grabbed my nuts and Tebow cashed my ticket again.

I have much fewer doubts this week and will be pounding the Broncos hard and most likly a parlay with broncos ML and the under. (Just common sense. Every time you run the ball in the NFL, 35-40 seconds gets chewed off the game clock, if you run the ball 70% + of the time like the Broncos do, the under is just a logical play.)

Hopefully here is to another cashed ticket to Tim Tebow and the Broncos

College stats mean nothing to me. He was a great college quarterback but dont throw out the 67% in college. Those were mostly screen passes. If he sniffs 67% in the NFL than i will be the first to tell you that i was wrong about tebow. There is no doubt is TD to turnover ratio is amazing but to have a long NFL career he has got to be alot better on 3rd downs. That might be the most underrated stat for a NFL Quarterback

Tell me how Tebow and the Broncos offense is going to adjust. Are they going to throw the ball more down the field? He is extremely inaccurate.

Its comments like this that make me think the Tebow haters just look at the boxscore and don't actually watch the game.

If you watched the game against the Vikings, you can clearly tell that Tebow has improved his throwing in the last 6 weeks.

If he can improve somewhat in six weeks, imagine what he can do in the next six weeks, and then in the off-season.

People are holding this guy to a standard that rookies are never held to. He has less than 10 career starts and people are treating him like he has been in the league for years and hasn't improved.

Give the guy time. He is doing magic with a shitty team and has transformed them to a playoff contender. In due time, his throwing will improve and that is a certainty.

The fact that the kid threw for about 10,000 yards in college with a completion percentage of 67% kind of punches holes in your bold claim that its realistic to assume the kid is never going to be a legit QB so it makes sense you would chose to ignore it.

And there it is: typical Tebow- hater.  In a couple of months they’ve gone from “he will never win as an NFL QB” to talking about having a long NFL career and super bowls.

In due time, his throwing will improve and that is a certainty

In start #2 against Miami he was 13 - 27. In start #5 he was 2 -8 against the Chiefs. Not sure how he is getting better throwing the football. To me that looks like a very young and inconsistent QB.

Yo Tim Dog. I said how much hes improved over a 6 week period. Not how he improved from his 1st start to his 3rd start.

Also, 13-27 was before John Fox installed the option like offense. 2-8 was after.

You can't see how 13-27 in his first start, to 10-15 for 202 yards and 2 td is improving? Well if you can't, then you are kinda ignorant.

I'm not just talking about his #s, I'm talking about how he looks in the pocket and his release.

Oh, and by the way: Tebow has a top 10 passer rating this season.

Also he had a rating of 149 last week.  Aaron Rodgers hasn’t done that once in his MVP caliber season.  And no, I’m not saying Tebow is better than Rodgers and I realize Rodgers throws more.

The league is built on pocket passing and west coast offense. Tebow is unorthodox like some tennis players that have weird strokes/serve/or game but take you out of your rhythm and end up winning. The play calling of Denver with in the middle of the line runs for 2-3 yards over and over puts defenses to sleep. If the Denver D can keep it close and offensive turnovers eliminated, the rest of the league can play their specialized offense with 1,000 plays and end up losing. I'll bet Vince Lombardi is liking the Denver way.

Yes sir UNDER!  Bears going to run it 30+ times also....

How is Denver possibly a -3.5 this wkd? How will Chicago even score? Under is the surefire bet here unless both D's score points for them. Probably a 13-3 or 16-7 type of game for Denver.

    Hey shooter,

    EFF Qb's I would say...
Roethlisberger, Schaub, Dalton, Stafford, Brees, Brady, Ryan, Newton, Rodgers, Palmer, E. Manning, P. Manning, Romo, Cutler, Hasselback.

Clearly some are not great this year or some are playing over their heads. I just mean these are guys I would generally trust to move the ball and get me yards overall. I know they're TO ratio won't be the same but I can count on 300-400 yards of O on a weekly average.

So that is a list of 15 I see. So that would classify the rest of the NFL QB's as average or below IMO. Might be missing some as well. Just these came to mind.

Denver can adjust back just like you say that is true. Also I would fully expect him to improve! I think you won the debate with this guy. The only thing I didn't like was claiming he is a top 10 passer rating this season like that holds lots of value. It was be like a goalie in the NHL playing in a few games with an amazing GAA a SV % and claiming that is what he is like. He clearly is not in the same category because his attempts are not there. Not saying for sure he would regress down the chart but he is more of an NA right now.

Its funny how i am labeled a hater just because i dont think a player is going to succeed long term. People keep saying he is improving and they are right, but you cannot change someones release or overall mechanics at the QB position that much. Plus i am not sure how he won the debate?? My biggest disagreement is that i do not think he is a long term NFL quarterback and only time will tell with that.

So a 2nd year player that was a 4th string starter a few months ago takes over a 1-4 team and goes 6-1 getting them into first place with the best TD/INT ratio in the NFL and becoming one of the most clutch QBs this season and you are talking about how he isn’t up there with the best QBs in the league.

    Think about that.

You are talking about how a 2nd year 4th string starter isn’t up there with Rodgers, Brady, Brees, etc.

Do you really not see what’s wrong with that line of thinking?

Shooter, you just asked for my thoughts of efficient qb's. I'm not saying or comparing him to the best because that is totally unfair to tebow. But these are the efficient qb's that can gain their team yards on a weekly basis. Notice I do have Dalton and Newton in that list. Don't just take brady and such out of the bunch. It is all good to be clutch and not turn the ball over but there is no way in hell any O can keep coming back and winning games on the heels of a couple hundred yards of O. Denver O is just not EFF enough to sustain a good season. This year has been laughable at best. They have been pushed to the limit every time and besides one game (minn which they still came back) they have been extremely foruntate to be in the games with the O's performance. Heck I would even say the minn game was fortunate. Pick 6/INT set up FG, Offense scores 0 in the first half themselves, Tebow has 13 yards. Too many fortunate breaks along the way. One of two things happen. 1. tebow imporves and the O starts to sustain drives or 2. O continues to struggle and the break average out and Denver comes back down to earth. You know this.

The main reason his passer rating is so high is because he has a TD/INT ratio of 10:1 (best in the NFL).  I don’t care how many passes a guy has thrown, that is impressive.  Especially for a 2nd year player that is “a fullback playing QB.”

Shooter, no doubt bro and I commend him on that. That reason is also why the denver d has been playing lights out along this run. I still need to see more sustained drives and consistent yardage to believe. Do I believe he can come back and be clutch? Yes we have all seen it and cashed tickets on it! That is indisputable! Do I think that this can keep up for the rest of the season and lifetime? Not a chance unless he gets better and they start moving the ball like a half decent O.

Tebow is playing way above his projections but is still not an effcient QB for me and I would never have this guy on my team as a qb unless I knew there would be huge progress. Perhaps split Qb or 3 and short yes. Remember shooter, I have stated before I am a christian and like him alot and want to see him succed but I just can't help but laugh at how it is being done and how they are getting away with these come from behind wins and bogus breaks.

I asked you to list who you thought were efficient QBs because I knew you would list guys like Brady, Brees, Rodgers, etc.  I was pointing out how it’s ridiculous to criticize a 2nd year 4th string QB for not playing like a top 10 QB on a 1-4 team.

Let me try and explain it a different way.

It would be like your friend who is a 3 in the looks department and terrible talking to women starting to date a woman that’s a 7.5.

And then instead of being impressed with your friend for dating a woman MUCH better than anyone thought he could you say “yeah, well it’s not like you’re dating a 9 or a 10.”

Some of that will depend on the players around Tebow.

As far as offensive weapons go not too many QBs have less to work with than Tim Tebow.  Of all the teams with above .500 records he easily has the worst.

There isn’t a QB in the NFL this season doing more with less than Tim Tebow.
