LOL! I think he's pretty arrogant at times, but, he usually cracks me up. I like his sense of humor. I have to go around and visit clients sometimes during the day and I'd rather listen to that than some bullshit political talk show. They tape his show here and play it after the Jim Rome Show. Rome is by far the best and funniest sports radio show.

i worked at a restuarant all my life and that is just bullshit...that 10 bucks of a 800 tab was about 1.3% tip...i would have thrown that shit back at his face

He gives so much money to charity so who gives a shit if he gave a small tip. Maybe there was bad service? You don't know the true story, so you can't comment on it. Neither can I. I honestly don't give a shit though whether he tips or not because he has made me a ton of money during his short career (although he's playing like shit against Boston).

Tiger Woods doesn't leave tips at all and he is still the man...

By the way, what do you think is worse L8kersFan...leaving a small tip or sexually assaulting a 19 year old and committing adultery?

c'mon chase, i respect you a lot, but that right there is the definition of a red herring. Kobe has nothing to do with being cheap when you only have about $100M to share every year...

I worked at LoneStar Steakhouse in college.  Sounds like this place is something of that nature-- steaks at competitive prices if you will.
 
Lebron is my favorite player and Cavs my favorite hoops team as I have half season tickets and go to every playoff game and still live in Pittsburgh!
 
And still, I cannot believe Lebron would do such a shady, ridiculous, rep-ruining move like this.  That is just downright rude and uncalled for IF he really did this.  I hope he has a good bail out story, cuz Joey Crawford isn't going to get him out of this call if it's true.
 
Do you think he ducked out on the tip with his famous switch hands, reverse, double pump layup move to the door?  I know I would be jettin' pretty fast if I left a 10 dollar tip on 800 tab.  I wouldn't have the gall to pull something like that and not cringe with feelings of guilt and sorrow for that damn waiter.

Yeah I get what you're saying, and it was an asshole move if the story is true, but people are talking like he is a complete dick when we really don't know the story. Kobe was just a comparison...I would rather hear about someone being cheap on a tip than another athlete getting arrested or caught doing steroids.

He does give to charities though, so it's not like he's completely selfish with his money. I know a lot of athletes give money to charities just for the publicity, but it's still giving.

Apparently Michael Jordan is a complete dick too, but he is still the greatest icon of all time.

I've hated Lebron with a passion since he refused to sign Ira Newble's (?) petition for Darfur. That was a real punk move but give the kid a break. He's been hailed as the second coming before he hit puberty and maybe it has gotten into his head a little.  Probably isn't the smartest guy on the street.

I am sure the story is true, and it has nothing to do with race or bad service or math skills IMO.  A lot of celebrities, athletes and stars, just don't have a clue about tipping, or they don'y Care about tipping, unless they use to be a former server, or they just understand it.  They usually get everything for FREE, and they think it includes the tip!!!  When I go to Vegas, I am fortunate enough to hang out VIP style, but I have to pay for it, and I get a chance to talk to some of the hot ass servers that work there.  And I will ask them, are you excited about waiting on celebrity X or Y, and they will say HELL NO, they get everything comped and they don't TIP!!!!  So it is not uncommon!!!
I do have a friend that works at a very high end golf course in Plam Springs, and some celebrities do get it.  He called and told me that Lefty came out and played, yep Phil Mickelson.  And he told me that Lefty was tipping everyone, from the cart guys, to the waiters, to the starter, everyone was getting a C-note!!!!  So far all the tight ass celebrities, we do have some good ones out there, and I just had to give a shout out to Phil.  My friend said he has never seen anything like it, and they have had quite a few celebrities at that course.  
Lebron should have tipped a minimum of 2 hundi, especially since he kept everyone out until 4AM, hopefully he has learned from this experience, it sure has cost him a lot of BAD PR!!!!!!!
