That's like dine and dashing. Waitors rely on tips, thats why alot don't make minimum wage
Ownership should also defend their workers. If I owned that steakhouse I would have called lebron out. Asked him if there was a problem with the service and if he said no I would politely ask him to avoid coming to our Steakhouse again.
When you read stories like this, it makes you think that his publicist tells him what to donate and when to donate

I disagree, tipping has everything to do with his character. The piece of shit is worth over a hundred million dollars, investing that into a saving account earning 3% (which is low) not even compounding the interest he is earning over 8K per day. Now I know he's too stupid to realize how to live off investments but the point is with that kind of bankroll it shows what kind of character he really has when "no one" is going to know about it, except now in this case the waiters have done the right thing and hurt Lebrons name which he deserves.
Character is what you do when no one is watching, the TV cameras were'nt on him in this restaraunt, but they sure are on him when he makes a huge public scene for his "donations" Those are obviously just to help his image and for him to right them off his taxes. I haven't really liked him up to now but now I really don't like him, and one more thing to Lebron....quit playing soccer inside your mouth with your mouth guard and quit fucking with your fingernails on the bench....its disgusting

John Elway, buying a beer for Mike Aldreate,he was the best man at Mikes wedding,35 cents.
Bobby Cox comming to town to play Pebble Beach, free hotel room, had to keep the bar open late on a Sunday night, gave him half my dinner,10 dollars.
Eddie D,ex 49ers owner,tip=100.00 or more depending on bill.
OJ before killings-great tipper.
James Worthy,small bill,20 dollars.
Its not a race thing, but some races are worst then others, just like some stars are worst then others.
Been a bartender 30 years, raised my 2 girls and own a mortage, those making rude comments about service workers are the ones that leave a dollar on a 20 dollar bill.

Very ignorant comment. YOu have obviously never worked in the service industry or had friends or family that support themselves this way. Go back under your little rock, you are not ready for the real world yet.

i'm from new hampshire, and grew up in the same area as adam sandler...a good friend of mine is close with him, like close enough that when adam is in town they usually hook up...they went to a local dunkin doughnuts for some coffees...the $7.50 an hour help were so excited he walked in there they told him they wanted to pay for him...they gave him a box of dougnuts and like three extra coffees and told him they'd just take it out of their own pay...he just took the goods, said "thanks" and left...my friend said to him "dude, you make 20 million a film, you let those people pay for you??" you couldn't flip them a $20??...then my $40,000 a year friend was heading back in to give them money because he felt bad and adam stopped him and said "don't worry about it, its fine, this happens all the time I save a lot of money this way"
these jerks like him, lebron and countless other rich celebs are so jaded in their own egos that they actually think its them doing you a big favor and your lucky to meet them and have them serve you, doesn't surprise me at all this happened with the $10...but its ok because KARMA will always catch up to you eventually in some way...you treat people bad, expect bad things to come your way, period.

For the record, I used to deliver pizzas for Pizza Hut right after high school for about 2 years...couldn't stand the cheap mother fuckers that didn't tip! Especially the customers in the nicest, biggest houses that were the furthest away from the restaurant, costing me the most gas. Then you get there and get stiffed. WTF? Bullshit! I was also promoted to assistant manager/driver and if I had to leave the restaurant open for someone until 4 am and got a tip like that I would be beyond livid.

I worked for Dominos during college delivering pizza....went 10 miles outta our delivery area on a slow day shift and got stiffed...told him I wouldn't do it again as I lost money in gas. Cheap bastards pissed the shit outta me. Middle class houses always tipped the best...the richest homes for the most part usually left like $1 and the change

I worked food service all through college and I had a great trick for people who tipped like this.
I would have chased Lebron down if I was the waiter in charge and said "excuse me King James, you forgot your change." and just give him the 10 dollars back. Now it puts him on the spot to either confront the fact that he is a horrible tipper or it lets him know if he didnt already know that his tip SUCKED.
What a loser!

cover he would have just taken the 10 back and left without a thought,he thinks hes to good in his mind.
Rest.Owner will keep doing it for him because he made 800,but he should tell him hes got to add the tip if he cares about his workers, plus if Ohio is a right to work State, the servers are only paid 2 something an hour and they count the tips to make up the Feds min.wage.
The rich need to be woken up,its getting real bad for some people,we must be OK as we can afford to gamble.

Adam Sandler recently broke his ankle , so their's the bad karma for stiffing the crew at Dunkin Donuts ..
Last Year OJ Simpson TRIED to enter a High End Steak place in Louisville during Derby week and the owner said, "excuse me, you're not welcome here'.
Personally, while in college I worked for the Miami Heat and on 2 occasions Cliff Livingston and Quinton Dailey each asked that I buy food for them to eat ON THE BENCH during a game when their was a timeout and they came out of the game .
Each tab was $13-15 and each had given me a $100 to pay for it .
Cliff and Quinton each told me to keep the change....
Then again , neither was a superstar so that may have helped .
The Heat players like Glen Rice, Grant Long, Jon Sundvold, Rony Seikaly , Sherman Douglas, Pearl Washington, Scott Hastings were all good dudes .. at least with me ..
Sundvold saw me and my GF at a local Italian restaurant once and he put our meal on his ticket ..

When the Pistons were playing the Cavs in last year's Eastern Conference Finals, between games 3 & 4, Rasheed Wallace had lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe in Cleveland. He gave a $3 tip on an $76 lunch for him and 3 "entourage" members. When one of staff approached the one remaining member of his "crew" who was still in the restaurant looking at stuff in the merchandise area, the moron's only response was "You want a better tip? Here's one, bet Detroit." The dbag left before security could be called.
There is something to the karma thing. Detroit lost the next 3 that year and this year Billups is not healthy when it matters.

there was a write-up in a local paper where I live a couple years ago about a wealthy businessman that went into a small restaurant to eat with a couple business associates in massachusetts...the waitress got to talking chit chat with him, she was a really nice lady and very nice to the guests, she was telling him she was working 2 jobs and felt guilty because she wasn't spending enough time with her kids, she was working hard to pay off some loans then she wanted to quit her other job but she loved waitressing and meeting new people every day...the businessman, a multi-millionaire...proceeded to take the tab at the end of the lunch and apply a $250,000 tip on his business credit card and told her to go out and enjoy her life...she was obviously blown away from this unbeleivable gesture and told him she cannot accept this kind of money...he told her to keep it and said, "maam, I have enough money that myself, my family and family that haven't even been brought into this world yet will never have to worry.....keep the money."
now theres a guy that is taking the escalator UP when he leaves this world.

At least we all know that he's a cheap bastard. I'm sure there are alot of them out there rich or not. If a person was born being cheap, nothing will change that.
