Niese always came back strong after giving up 4 ER runs or more last season, and he usually has strong performances during the day.Garland has typically struggled in his career during day games.

Dickey seemed to getting the feel for his knuckleball back last start, I think he has a strong start tonight.Looking at Sale's splits last season I was surprised to see his ERA near 4 at 3.77, he seemed to have his struggles on the road last season.The line opened with the Jays at -125 at my book, at first glance I thought Sale at + money let's jump on it, but sometimes when it seems to good to be true it usually is, which brings me to take Toronto here to split the 4 game series.

price has great lifetime #'s vs orioles, and rays need some wins, price is going to piggyback off of moore's solid outing and go 7ip 2er of his own.. i expect miguel gonzales to over match this rays offense as well, as number should go well under in my opinion.. i'll say 3-2 rays.
lesters last 24ip vs CLE 3er 32k's! granted new indians team, way lesters throwing right now i don't expect that to stop.. unless lester gets into a jam and gives up the big one, indians should stay under 4 runs today, i expect a pitchers duel here too.
*side note* knew i should of bet brewers! no scutaro or posey today, but stayed away instead, tough to bet against my giants.. but good luck everyone!

Verlander should dominate these hitters after the late game yesterday. He should pitch long enough to rest the bullpen. Should be a real low scoring game. Last night was the game, if the Mariners planned on taking it. I know it is difficult to sweep as series, but I feel more confident that the Tigers have not done it yet this season.
I know the Pirates have been hot lately but the Braves have been hot all season. Remember what happened when two hot teams met in Washington last weekend? Also, liking the fact the Braves will need to bounce back from a loss yesterday.

Yea SimonDog u have been warned a couple times and you've been givin some leeway bc of your record but my guess is Mavin will stop including your plays unless you provide reasoning. We are all trying to help each other out here and just posting plays really doesn't help us become better handicappers. Mavin isn't expecting much as far as reasoning goes, literally just a sentence or 2 about each game. Every else follows the rules and you should as well. No disrespect towards but just gotta follow the rules of Mavins contest if u want to continue to be a part of it

CIN Reds -1.5 +120
It's the Marlins for goodness sakes...they are 1-5 on the road. Yes it's the first Major League start for Cingrani but this could be a good thing since the Marlins aren't swinging the bats well. Cincy wins by at least three...

The bats were silenced against the Royals in the streak ending game but Eddings had something to do with that...even the commentators agreed with the ATL displeasure.

Didn't like the card yesterday and just needed some time to review things in order to get out of this skid. Here's what I got.
STL Cardinals ML -112
Two aces on the mound, one playing like it the other may be realizing he isn't the staff on the ace (that belongs to Clifford Lee). STL has been more consistent with their bats, just can never trust philly.
Over 8.5 ARI Diamonbacks - NY Yankees -115
Phil Hughes is god awful. Both teams can swing a hot bat and I expect some power to be shown in Yankees stadium tonight.
BAL Orioles ML +123
Gut feeling on this one. I like Balty this year being able to produce runs and just haven't been impressed with Price much at all.

anyone notice a trend in mavins postings of the records?? days 7-8-9 and 14-15-16 all are red.. those SHOULD be cooresponding days on the calendar.. 14-15-16 are (sunday, monday, tuesday) of this week.. and 7-8-9 are (sunday, monday, and tuesday of last week)..
maybe there's something to that, maybe too little of a timetable, not sure. i have noticed tuesdays have been screwing me though so far.
