I don't think it's nearly as big of an issue as an NBA team playing four games in five nights, or an NFL team playing Sunday and then coming back to play on Thursday.

I think the rest will actually hurt the Twins. They played two good games against LA and finally had some offense going. Then a rainout and an off day. They may have lost the momentum they had going.

I second that, and another interesting stat on the whitesox last season:every time they lost the last game of a road trip they won their first game back home after that loss, actually they lost twice at home, those losses had something in common though, they were coming back from west coast trips.One of the reasons I am backing the whitesox tonight.

According to ESPN the game is postponed. If they play tomorrow the Twins will be on three full days of rest. I wonder if Worley will still be the starter.

The Big Unit returns!

Taking Boston at home, Buch is hot and Ortiz may be back in lineup. Like the Dbacks, Kennedy is 7-1 in his last 6 vs Rockies, Also taking the over in a game on the surfacr that looks like an under. The Nats and Mets both have starting pitchers that are looking good but 6.5 is a low number. Both teams have a decent offense, both teams bullpens have era's over 5, wind is supposed to be blowing out to center/left 10-20 mph.

1-2 -$100

Last season the mets were not very good their first game back from a road trip, seems a bit risky with the run line, and I think it will be close as long as Harvey is in but I see the nats pulling away with a few late inning runs against a weak mets bullpen.

Over 7.5 PHI Phillies - STL Cardinals -120

Interesting pattern I found in Roy's starts last season:every time the total went under in one of his starts the next one went over. it was almost always under-over-over-under, with a couple of variations, once it went under in two straight starts, and one or two times we had 3 straight overs.I think this is a play on public perception that Doc's starts should go under cause he is a great pitcher, but in reality they have gone more over than under.

CHI Whitesox -1

I am still waiting on my line for this( it is currently off at pinny, should have grabbed it this morning) but this is a game that I had the whitesox winning since their final score came in last night, for reasons mentioned above as a reply to Matt and Washhead.I will post my line when I get it.

ok so I replace the whitesox with one that I was hesiting between the nats and this play.

Under 9.5 COL Rockies - ARI Diamondbacks +102

Kennedy is another pitcher who usually bounces back great.But I believe with the rockies and Chacin being so hot it is safer to take the under, cold night in colorado, wouldn't be surprised to see a 4-3 game tonight.

others have done a good job writing up on strasburg.. i like WASH because NYM has to travel from colorado to new york overnight to play this game.. nats are rested.. team has lost stras last 2 starts, and harvey 3-0 but not against a lineup like the nats.. and nats won 9 of last 10 vs NYM.. they got psychological advantage.

reds just not going to overthink this one, latos has never won in his career vs the fish.. but this isn't your daddys marlins.. they are terrible and only way i see them winning is if slowey throws a gem.. reds should be able to score 4 and win this by 2. reds 4-1

rangers i feel is a revenge game for them as darvish lost to SEA in seattle earlier this year to Joe Saunders.. this won't happen again as rangers will make sure of that at home! they take care of business. the mariners pitching that went well at home wont travel with them to TEX.. darvish looking for revenge, taking better team and pitcher at home, i'll say texas wins 7-2.

i like the giants too, but with padres coming off an impressive sweep at LA and giants just getting swept, left it off forum.. still bet it, but not as confident i guess, bum throws well we win, volquez is that bad, but if volquez pitches a good 1st inning, could be a fairly low scoring game, making sf-1.5 scary.. feel sf ml is good though.

Good point! I got 24 mph and HR's have gone up from 1.3 in 2012 to 1.9 in 2013 per game @ City Field (it's early)

Brought up this play yesterday. I believe Strasburg gets the run support he needs to not lose 3 straight starts.

A couple games went extras last night and I think we will see the repercussions of it tonight. My post game write up from the Tigers game yesterday was mostly about not looking enough in to the fact the previous game ended at 3 AM EST. No wonder the Tigers bats were asleep. The Diamondbacks had the furthest to travel so I think their bullpen will be weakened and their players will be a little tired.

If you look at the Tigers scoring. When they lose, they are not scoring. They normally bounce back with a win and at least 7 runs. I do not think the break gives the Angels an advantage. It gave them more time to sit around and think about their deficiencies.

GL Guys....it was hard choice not picking the Red Sox with Buchholz..

melos...make sure you format correctly or Mavin may leave you out. Just take a look at the other picks and make it the same.

I like Cincy here but the juice is just way to high to lay. ML is at -245...ouch! Actually, from a betting stand point, the Marlins at +222 on the ML is awesome value. I'll take the run line here and am pretty confident with Latos on the mound. Cincy should be able to put up five runs. Latos and the defense which has only committed four errors all year should keep the Marlins from scoring.

COL Rockies -1.5 +165

Colorado is the hottest team right now in all of MLB (in my humble opinion)...they are averaging 6.2 runs per game and should be able to hit a similar number against Kennedy who has a 5.79 ERA this year. Rockies at home in the cold...I like the value here with the run line.

PHI Phillies ML +110

Doc had a strong outing against the Marlins in his last start...yes it's the Marlins but I think that's exactly what he needed to get back on track after a poor start to the season. I like the value here with Doc on the mound...go Philly!

As a side note, I also have COL Rockies to win the series at -145. Colorado has already swept three series this year, they should be able to win 2 of 3.

Tigers hot lineup should be too much for Hanson and his fly ball pitching to keep in the park. Anibal needs to avoid Hamilton and he should be fine.

COL Rockies ML -117

Good matchup for the hot hitting Colorado lineup. Expecting a high scoring game, and the Rockies usually win those lately. Edge to the home team who just swept in this cold weather.

CHI Cubs ML +102

Cubs hitting better lately and that should fair well vs Brewers. Samardzija is a flamethrower and could rack up 10+ K's vs this Brewers lineup. That could lead to stranded runners. Edge to Cubs bullpen, better now if they use Russell to close.

Starting to get back to where I was winning 113 last night. Looking for at least another 2-1 night. I see a lot of people on Washington and Colorado tonight. Not saying they are going to lose but I am staying away from those games. Pretty representative of the public with about 70% on both of those teams. Good luck. For me tonight I got:

STL Cardinals ML -120

Have been on STl for every game this series. I think STL is much more consistent and Philly's bats are often anemic. I expect a lot of the same tonight. Under would be a play but still wondering about Doc this year.

MIL Brewers ML -117

Brewers bats finally put up some runs and ever since the comeback late against STL they have been hitting well. I like that progress despite loving Samardzija this season. Cubs are usually good for a couple of errors and inept baseball.

SEA Mariners ML +210

Taking a stab at a high price here. I just don't think that this line should be anywhere near this high. I know about the revenge angle the travel angle all of that. I just don't think it warrants this line. This bet wins 1 out of 3 easily and thats all I need to break even and have a good upside to it.
