Huge Day MLB Tuesday

Updated Record 23-11

Went 2-2 yesterday, frustrating because the angels and cards both had opportunities at the end of the games and they both couldn’t pull through. That’s life, onto the next 

Quite bored today so I have made the executive decision to throw 30 units on one parlay(yes I’m a degen), $3000 3-4 legs, and then 5 units per individual play, why not have some fun on a random Tuesday 

Will be posting around 3 or 4 going to do a very extensive dive into my plays for today 

Also, I love talking to people on here so throw me your thoughts, plays your looking at, what your fading, I’d love to talk with some of you

 I’ve got Nick Martinez on the bump and the dude’s been filthy, 11-3 with a 2.65 ERA.  He’s a Miami kid too, so I back him. Best team in the AL, ace-level arm, against a 47-72 A’s  squad throwing Mason Barnett and his 5.56 ERA.  This is for sure going on my card. 

The one I’m sweating and I’m not gonna pretend otherwise. Cubs are the better team on paper at 69-50,  but it’s a close matchup in D.C. and the Nats are live at home, this feels closer to a coinflip than the price suggests, need to do more digging on this one

You probably aren't wrong to hesitate with the Cubbies but I'm banking on Imanaga's dominance of late along with the Nats still missing Wood. BOL!

That is very true, Nats don’t have probably their best batter, might end up taking it, probably won’t make the parlay but I’m not counting it out of my straight bets.

I've seen several good people on the White Sox today. The Reds strike out at a huge rate, and Burke leads all baseball in the last month in strike outs. Lodolo is coming off the IR and the Reds just got swept by the Nationals. The Nationals have struggled since the break.

I also see the Astros rolling the Giants. Brown is back in good form from the IR and Whisenhunt is terrible.

I am also playing the Seattle team total under today. They are terrible on the road and can't hit lefties. Weathers has been dealing lately. 

Since it is a parlay...tease Seattle team total to 5 1/2 at minus 300. No way Seattle scores 6 tonight at New York.

With you on the Sox. Cincy’s whiff rate is a problem and Burke’s swing-and-miss stuff eats up exactly that kind of lineup, great spot for him. Lodolo back off the IR and a Reds club coming off a sweep in D.C. only adds to it. 

Astros ML is the right read too. Brown healthy against a scuffling Whisenhunt is a clean edge, and taking Houston straight up is the smart way to play it, Oracle suppresses runs enough that laying the -1.5 would just be asking for a backdoor. Money’s on the moneyline.

Taking off Marlins TT play, showers on the IL, total line is at 6.5 might just take the over

When Skenes starts...teams are 13-2 in the last 15 games in hitting their team total over. Odds are Marlins hit it tonight. I posted about this last week and it hit.

 The reason the over is a good play is precisely that they dodge him. Today Miami faces the back end of a Pirates rotation that falls off a cliff after Skenes, plus a shaky Pittsburgh pen. Pair that with a Marlins offense that’s been mashing at home (36-24 there, just hung 7 and 12 on the Angels) and a low bar of just 4 runs, and that’s a very reachable number against a soft arm.

Bottom line: right read, wrong reason. It’s not “Marlins crush Skenes”, it’s “Marlins dodge Skenes and get to feast on the guy behind him.”

Will be playing them individual too with 5 units on each, worst comes to worst case I lose everything and down 5 grand, best case everything smacks and I’m up around 35 grand. That said, now I’m going to go for a run, order myself a nice dinner and then glue my ass to the couch.
