General Sharps MLB Picks
Hey topkaiki. I have a similar background. Writing the program is the easy part. It's really just a simple program that asks for certain types of data, and assigns a weighted percentage of importance to the equation. For example, when I cap a baseball game, I include runs per game as well defensive efficiency. Both are important, but more so runs per game, so it gets a heaver bearing in the formula.

I've recently started tuning into your thread - very well done capping your games.
This may be a question for SportsNetwork regarding the backtesting and run lines. Assuming the run line was taken along with the ML for every play, does the +191 units take into account the units lost where ML covers but run line does not?
Again, very impressed with you're strategy and picks and wish you the best of luck.

[/Quote] As your experience dictates; this happens to everyone, regardless of their status; however, the DET, and StL LOSSES were exceptionally hard to swallow, and should still be considered "quality capps" labled
I know the feeling, I was on both games myself. tomorrows a new and prosperous day of recovery..VG thread, VG plays, and discussion, take care Sharp![]()

yes, but understand you coordinate your MM to an "even-up" ratio where as your RL loss is insured by your ML WIN. btw, the +191u is not based upon a 1u flat betting concept as the thread indicates, it's based on the exact plays, but that's where it stops; and a cappers own MM technique kicks in.. my original point being that the majority of Sharps wins (aprx 67.4% to date) have simply been by 2 runs or more, a trend that brings his plays value to the RL handicap, the main ingrediant to this is figuring out what plays win on that particular day, then boom,, you have your RL win..why this is happening is unknown to me at this time, only that it's happening with the plays (winning) that Sharp projects in this thread; good question
Thanks Sports_Network. I'm curious to see how this goes as it appears Sharp is betting 1 unit flat for both Run Line and ML. This could certainly provide large returns but also a bit higher losses on a sub .500 day.
I wonder if there are any cappers (perhaps I might try) that will hedge the run line play with the ML win (i.e. risk on a run line only what my ML win would return) and what those results would look like.
Best of luck everyone and keep up the good work.

For RL you mean betting against the team ml you picked by taking the spread of the adversary team?

Thanks for the answer sport.I checked the lines again, but in the alternative lines i only see the underdog +points with the lines that are obviously much more juiced.cant see the higher ones at all...
