I'm in unfamiliar territory right now. Usually I'm winning and it just unfolds on Sunday (kinda like when I was gambling). I have no idea what to expect. Somehow I'm going to lose K's and Wins. I just know it.

I thought what they have NOW is enough to be contenders. Why do you need to hope for more? You REALLY put too much stock into the young guys.

The Orioles havea huge hole at 3rd base, even with what they have and Rendon is an elite prospect. He has lightening in his hands and plays great D. Very similar to Evan Longoria..... Some scouts said they would have taken him over Harper this year.
WHy do the Yankees sign a top FA every year.... Dont they already have enough?

I thought you were smarter than that. They lose pitching...they pick up pitching. They lose a 1st baseman...they pick up a 1st baseman. They're just filling holes with players that they don't have ready in the minors.

I do not put too little stock. But how many of these teams have won a World Series recently? What do a lot of people keep saying about the Twins? They need to trade for Lee to really be a threat.
I understand that building through the farm system is very important. But as I learned in 2007...if you rely simply on young guys...that's a bad move.
