I know I am miles above you in intelligence because you can't even discern the difference between "human scientists telling me things" BASED ON EVIDENCE and human authors telling you things based on...oh that's right-magic.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------

Scientists say lots of things based on unproven theories, guesswork, speculation which are not credible.

Whereas human authors such as the authors of the Gospels in the New Testament gave us first hand witness accounts of their real life experiences.

It's clear to see that the human authors of the Gospels would be more credible with their first hand witness accounts of their real life experiences than the unproven theories, guesswork and speculation of scientists.

SJD, in response to your post #556, the only thing I'm lost and confused about is why people would presume to know god.

You're following words written down by other men from the past.  A past in which there were many many things around us that couldn't be explained scientifically until free thinkers busted out of the chains of religion and started experimenting.  You're choosing to believe that those words written by ordinary men were inspired by god, I'm choosing not to believe that.

And to whoever wrote that Jesus was the clearest interpretation of god on Earth is dead wrong.  That's an insult to other people's beliefs.  I could say I believe that the sun is a god and it shows itself to us everyday by shining down on us.  I can say that THAT is the clearest representation of god.  And I can write pages of scripture and say that it was influenced by the sun.  You see how easy it is to make up a religion in about 5 minutes, and then twist and bend it to suit my needs as I see fit?

Christianity, like all the other countless religions that have preceeded it, is a fad.  Thousands of years from now it will have been replaced by some other myth.

show us the proof how non living thing became life

    kitty can't prove anything...lol

The only thing he could say is that it was somehow a magical process when the mindless, unintelligible universe containing stardust, planets, moons, rocks, ice and other non living lifeless matter floating around in the universe magically decided one day...it wanted to be a creator of living beings such as plants, animals and human beings...lol

The absurdity of that theory wins the first place prize in ludicrousness!...lol

Imagine lifeless, non living matter floating around in the universe void of a mind or intelligence giving life to plants, animals and human beings....that is some magic boy!

Listen. There are 200 countries in the world now. Do these people honestly think that God is sitting around picking out his favorites? Why would he do that? Why would God have a favorite country? And why would it be America out of all the countries? Because you have the most money? Because he likes our National Anthem? Maybe it's because he heard we have 18 delicious flavors of Classic Rice-A-Roni! It's delusional thinking! And America is not alone with this sort of delusions. Military cemeteries around the world are packed with brainwashed dead soldiers who were convinced God was on their side. America prays for God to destroy our enemies. Our enemies pray for God to destroy us. Somebody's gonna be disappointed. Somebody's wasting their fucking time. Could it be everyone?  GC

GC

Please explain to me what I have said that defies the natural laws of physics. Please explain to me what I have said that is factually implausible based on the laws of this world.

Because I can point out more than a few things you believe that are absolutely impossible based on the laws of physics in this world.

Every single statement I have ever made is irrefutable fact (bear in mind not all of my statements make claims about things existing or not, some are indeterminate statements regarding my and science's lack of knowledge). I do not allege to be able to prove anything. I am not trying to. I am merely stating that since the natural position is to believe that there is no magic, unless magic is proven, I will continue believing in nonmagic.

False. Everything in this universe is made of the of the same subatomic particles. Those particles can be arranged in infinite different ways. Life and nonlife are merely different arrangements of these particles. Therefore, no laws of physics have been violated. You lose. Care to try again?

maybe david cooperfield turned those stones into living things.

what a complete idiot this kitty person is.

I dont care if you think God exists, why the fuck do you care that i think he exists?

when you show me proof on just those 3 questioned which you have yet to show us, then i will believe you.

dont show me what some human scientist tells you, because thats just opinion, with zero way of proving what they say is right

Exactly! It was God who arranged these particles using His supreme intelligence and He got everything arranged perfectly in His first try to separate the non living matter from the living matter!

Why is this hard to believe?  All life is made up of 6 or 8 basic elements (carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, etc).  There is lifeless matter also made up from these same elements.  Given vast stretches of time, which human minds can not readily comprehend, combined with different sources of energy (sun, geothermal) it is likely that these basic elements combine in a certain way that is self-replicating.  Maybe there is a one in a million chance that this happens in a billion years, when the conditions are just right

Also, it is now believed that comets are the source of the water on Earth.  It is possible that a spore could survive inside a Comet and seed life on Earth.

Listen, I don't care if you believe in god. I care when belief in god starts to affect my life. Based on what you've said, you're the type of person I have no problem with. Unfortunately, you create a problem when you start to make personal attacks on my intelligence when I have said nothing that isn't true. You keep portraying yourself as an idiot and I don't understand why because you clearly are more intelligent than these other bufoons.

Surely you realize that "what some human scientist" tells me has far more weight than what some human author tells me. Sure you realize that these human scientists aren't formulating opinions, they are relaying observable facts. They don't make up stories; they make factual statements. They have never claimed anything to be 100% true when it wasn't. Right now they have their best theories on things. Those theories are accepted as fact. It is possible that those theories could be replaced by better ones should more evidence arise. But for now, working solely with the evidence they do have, this is the best they can do and there is no logical reason not to believe them. Anything they don't know, they admit they don't know. Meanwhile, your magical god that disobeys the laws of physics and reason and logic comes with no observable evidence; no facts; nothing that is factually certain. That is why scientists are far more reliable than magicians.

And surely you understand the concept of burden of proof. I will not explain it again. You can google it if you want.

Again because you are an atheist and don't fully understand anything in the Holy Bible you will misinterpret and not fully understand key verses in the bible and what their true meanings really are.

Because I'm the Christian who believes in God, who has read and studied the Holy Bible which is the Word of God and crr is the atheist who most likely never read and studied the Holy Bible because he doesn't believe in God and doesn't want anything to do with God.

Now is that a sufficient reasoning?
