If you pray every day, even just once a day, let's say it's 30 seconds per prayer, 365 days a year for about 55 years. If my math is correct, you will COMPLETELY WASTE 6.97 DAYS OF YOUR LIFE praying. Think about that for a second. Your life will be cut short by almost 7 days because youre under some delusion that there's a magic man in the sky and furthermore, that you need to pray to him?

    The Book of Lamentations

The author was Jeremiah, written soon after the fall of Jerusalem in 586 B.C.

A lamentation is a sad funeral song. Jeremiah wrote this lamentation to express his grief over the tragic destruction of Jerusalem and the exile of its inhabitants to Babylon. Through acrostic poetry, the book of Lamentations graphically describes the destruction of Jerusalem. Jeremiah spared his readers little detail as he recalled the horrible tragedy. There is very little comfort in Jeremiah's lament, although in chapter 5 his prayer does look beyond the desolate ashes of Jerusalem, and Jeremiah pleads to God, whose throne edures forever.

    Praise the Lord Almighty!!

    Why Were You BORN?

Is there PURPOSE for human life? Does life, after all, have real meaning? Here is the awesome truth!

Part 18 of 23. The Transcendent Purpose

(Note: If you want the entire 23 parts to this series go to website: thetruechurch.net.)

"Thou madesnt him a little lower that the angels," Yes, now, much higher than animals, but still lower than angles who are composed of spirit (see chapter 1:5-7, 13-14).

Continue, Hebrews 2:7: "...thou crownedst him with glory and honour, and didst set him over the works of thy hands: thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him..." (verse 8).

In chapter 1, quoted above, "all things" is also translated "the universe." Could it mean God has put the entire vast universe under man? That has been too utterly fantastic for even theologians to believe! But notice the last sentence in that verse: "But now we see not yet all things put under him."

That explains it. God has not yet put the vastness of the universe under man's control and governing. Not while we are still human! Man has so far proved his is incapable of even governing himself, here on the earth! No, we don't see man yet in such fantastic power.

But what do we see, now?

Next verse, the 9th: "But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels..." mortal, like we are now---"...for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour..."---as explained in the first chapter---crowned---the executive ruler over the universe---"...that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man. For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings" (Heb. 2:10).

Do you grasp what that says?

"In bringing many sons unto glory." We humans who repent, come to believe God---believe what he says---believe what he reveals---believe the knowledge he reveals to us, now, through the Bible---instead of rejecting knowledge from him as Adam and Eve did---as most in science and higher education do---we become God's sons when he puts within us his Holy Spirit. We are the sons he is bringing to this supreme glory!

Our Lady of Fatima Part 6

    Consecration of Russia

According to Sister Lucia, the Virgin Mary promised that the Consecration of Russia would lead to Russia's conversion and an era of peace.

Pope Pius XII, in his Apostolic Letter Sacro Vergente of 7 July 1852, consecrated Russia to the Blessed Virgin Mary. Pius XII wrote,

Just a few years ago We consecrated the entire human race to the Immaculate Heart of the Virgin Mary, Mother of God, so today We consecrate and in a most special manner We entrust all the peoples of Russia to this Immaculate Heart.

In 1952 the Pope reminded the Russian people and the Stalinist regime that the Virgin was always victorious. "The gates of hell will never prevail, where she offers her protection. She is the good mother, the mother of all, and it has never been heard, that those who seek her protection, will not receive it. With this certainty, the Pope dedicates all people of Russia to the immaculate heart of the Virgin. She will help! Error and atheism will be overcome with her assistance and divine grace."

Pope Pius XII and Pope John Paul II both had special relations to Our Lady of Fatima. Pope Benedict XV began Pacelli's church career, elevating him to archbishop in the Sistine Chapel on 13 May 1917, the date of the first reported apparition. Pius XII was laid to rest in the crypt of Saint Peter's Basilica on 13 October 1958, the Feast of Our Lady of Fatima. Our Lady of Fatima is credited by many faithful and by John Paul II himself, with saving his life during the assassination attempt, which took place on 13 May 1981.

Pope John Paul II again consecrated the entire world to the Virgin Mary in 1984, without explicitly mentioning Russia. Some believe Sister Lucia verified that this ceremony fulfilled the request of the Virgin Mary. However, in the Blue Army's Spanish magazine, Sol de Fatima, in the September 1985 issue, Sister Lucia said that the ceremony did not fulfill the Virgin Mary's request, as there was no specific mention of Russia, and "many bishops attached no importance to it." In 2001, Archbishop Tarcisio Bertone issued a statement, claiming that he had met with Sister Lucia, who reportedly told him, "I have already said that the consecration desired by Our Lady was made in 1984, and has been accepted in Heaven." Sister Lucia died on 13 February 2005, without making any public statement of her own to settle the issue.

Some maintain that, according to Lucia and Fatima advocates such as Abbe Georges de Nantes, Fr. Paul Kramer and Nicholas Gruner, Russia has never been specifically consecrated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary by any Pope simultaneously with all the world's bishops, which is what Lucia in the 1985 interview had said Mary had asked for.

However, by letters of 29 August 1989 and 3 July 1990, she stated that the consecration has been completed; indeed in the 1990 letter in response to a question by Rev. Father Robert J. Fox, she confirmed:

I come to answer your question, "If the consecration made by Pope John Paul II on March 25, 1984 in union with all the bishops of the world, accomplished the conditions for the consecration of Russia according to the request of Our Lady in Tuy on June 13 of 1929?" Yes, it was accomplished, and since then I have said that it was made. And I say that no other person responds for me, it is I who receive and open all letters and respond to them.

MRGETRICH, on the subject of milk: it would not be frothy without its protein content. Despite its creamy texture, milk is comprised of 85 to 95 percent water. The rest of its volume comes from nutritious vitamins, proteins, carbohydrates, and fat. A cow udder holds between 25 and 50 pounds of pure milk. A single cow yields about 90 glasses of milk per day or about 200,000 glasses of milk per lifetime.

KittyKatz, will close here with my comments on the Discovery Channel and evolution. In context with the thread topic, lets look at the Discovery Channel's "The Lost Tomb of Jesus."  Filmmaker Simcha Jacobovici was employed by the Discovery Channel for the doco' called "James, Brother of Jesus." The doco' centered around the discovery of a tomb bearing the writing "James, son of Joseph, brother of Jesus." The James Tomb is also key evidence for the "Jesus Tomb". The case for the "Jesus Family Tomb" is built upon the validity of the "James, son of Joseph, brother of Jesus" tomb. The "James Tomb" surfaced in 2002 from the hands of Israeli antiquities dealer Oded Golan. On June 18, 2003, the 15-member committee of the Israel Antiquities Authority (IAA), in a unanimous decision, condemned the 'James Tomb' as forgery. The inscription, "James, son of Joseph, brother of Jesus," was proven fraud. And in 2005, Israeli authorities charged Golan and four others with forgery for their part in the "James Tomb" hoax. Neither Discovery Channel, nor Jacobovici has yet to admit they were duped in the embarrassing "James Tomb" hoax. Despite the evidence; despite the charges of forgery in the "James Tomb" hoax, Jacobovici still relentlessly defends the "James Tomb" and unashamedly builds his case for the "Jesus Tomb" on the proven fraud. Riding the trendy, but tempest  wave of anti-Christ propaganda, in 2005, Jacobovici along with director James Cameron began work on a $4 million dollar Discovery Channel doco', challenging virtually everything the scriptures teach about the Jesus Christ. The claims Jesus Christ did not physically rise from the grave, Jesus Christ was married to Mary Magdalene and they had a son named "Judas". This was the same garbage dumped out by the Da Vinci Code. The Discovery Channel website said, "New scientific evidence suggests Jesus Family Tomb found". Director Cameron proudly claimed, "It doesn't get bigger than this. We've done our homework; we've made the case; and now it's time for the debate to begin."

Examine the evidence Jacobovici, Cameron and The Discovery Channel collaborated to justify a major world-wide, earth-shattering announcement, tons of media appearances, a dedicated website, a major book release (The Jesus Family Tomb) and air a $4 million prime-time doco'. Everything from the DNA down was a fraud.

Despite the archeologists unanimous agreement that the "James Tomb" was a fraud. Despite the fact that five men were on trial for forgery. And despite photos exist from the 1970s of the "James Tomb," Jacobovic marched on with his fantasy-filled, $4 million dollar fairy tale. Newsweek quoted; "Jacobovici is not a quitter. He believed then, and still believes, in the authenticity of the James inscription ossuary,"

World renown archeologist and Bar-Ilan University Professor Amos Kloner, who led the original investigation of the tombs in 1980, and easily the world’s most knowledgeable person concerning the dubious tombs. Kloner remarked about The Discovery Channel:

"The claim that the burial site has been found is not based on any proof, and is only an attempt to sell. I refute all claims and efforts to waken a renewed interest in the findings. With all due respect, they are not archeologists. . . It makes a great story for a TV film. But it's impossible. It's nonsense."

Thomas Reese, senior fellow at the Woodstock Theological Center at Georgetown University, recognizes the "money making" sham along with the severe lack of factual integrity as "letting the archaeologists devour these people."

"This is simply another effort to prostitute religion and archaeology in order to make money. It’s amazing, that every year, there comes another one of these, whether it’s ‘The Da Vinci Code’ or the Judas Gospel. I just want to step aside and let the archaeologists devour these people."

Famed archeologist Joe Zias, who was the curator of anthropology and archeology for over 25 years at the prestigious Rockefeller Museum in Jerusalem and who personally numbered the questionable Talpiot ossuaries, leaves no doubt to filmmaker Simcha Jacobovici’s crazy documentary:

"Simcha has no credibility whatsoever. He's pimping off the Bible … He got this guy Cameron, who made 'Titanic' or something like that—what does this guy know about archeology? I am an archeologist, but if I were to write a book about brain surgery, you would say, 'Who is this guy?'. . . Projects like these make a mockery of the archeological profession."

The Discovery Channel posted on their web site: All leading epigraphers agree about the inscriptions. All archaeologists confirm the nature of the find.

This is only one exampled. This one just fits the context of the thread.

As for blind faith, what figure would you float that are qualified with geonome codes to conclude a menagerie of ape-like animals involved in an elimination tournament all vying for survival and dominance is the answer to the existence of modern man. Evaluated the scientific evidence in light of two scenarios: the evolutionary scenario and the biblical scenario. When taken as a whole, the scientific evidence more closely agrees with the biblical scenario. The paleontological evidence fails to establish a clearly defined evolutionary pathway with readily recognized transitions. The evolutionary paradigm cannot explain the sudden, recent appearance of modern man on earth with no evidence for an evolutionary ancestor. It will never become a fact, and to declare it will but only examine data in light of evolutionary theory, is counter to the way that the scientific enterprise is conducted, and reflects a philosophical position. People are still using theories such as Non-coding DNA being junk and linking it to their belief, despite what we now know. Though, science pushed to the side, I can't look at the world and get the impression there is no creator.

I can easily look at the world and say there's no creator because you would think, in 14.7 million years, he might make an appearance a few times... but nope. All we have are bullshit stories. I don't understand how you think any scientific evidence supports the magical creation of people. The bible says god created 2 people, but we clearly know there was ample life well before people. Molecular life existed for millions of years before people, maybe billions. We know there were dinosaurs well before people. And there were many many animals, pretty fully developed before people existed. Why would the bible lie? It's as simple as that. The bible is a book of stories and when evidence arises that refute those stories, the interpretation is changed to include that evidence.

Example: "God created everything in 7 days."
    This has been proven false.
Altered Interpretation: "A day has no set length, it's whatever God wants it to be. A day for God could've been a billion years for all we know." So therefore, the new evidence no longer debunks the belief.
    - Just one of many examples

I look at it this way. If I took a math class and had a textbook and then midway through class it was discovered that a bunch of the formulas were wrong, I'd stop using that textbook. I'd go find another book. It would essentially render the entire book worthless. That's how I feel about the bible. And furthermore, there are parts of the bible that were NEVER true and never could be true; parts of the bible you don't really need any scientific evidence to debunk. There are scientific explanations as to how everything in the world developed into the way it is now. This things are tangible and can theoretically be replicated. I will believe that before magic any day.

Good mornin' everybody!...My Christian brothers & sisters, the irresolutors & the heathens!, how is everyone today on this fine, beautiful 4th day of June?...I'm fine myself thankyou!

Let me start today with the Lord's prayer. For you irresolutors & heathens, feel free to join in. Ok let's bow our heads and pray.

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever, Amen.----Matthew 6:9:13

    Praise the Lord Almighty!!

    The Book of Ezekiel

The author was Ezekiel, written around 571 B.C.

Like stubborn children refusing to obey their father, the people of Israel often refused to listen to God. And like a loving parent, God repeatedlyh called his people back to obedience. He sent prophets, like Ezekiel, to preach messages of judgment and restoration. According to his book, Ezekiel was a priest who was among the captives taken to Babylon when the person were deported in 597 B.C. There in Babylon God called him to be a prophet, and he began to warn his people that Jerusalem's judgment was not yet complete. His preaching was not well received by the person who were with him in captivity. They thought he should be giving messages of comfort and hope, not judgment. But Ezekiel's dire predictions came true, as Jerusalem was destroyed in 586 B.C. From then on the people listened carefully to his preaching. After this Ezekiel's message changed from one of judgment to one of comfort and hope. The worst was past; it was time to begin again.

    Why Were You BORN?

Is there PURPOSE for human life? Does life, after all, have real meaning? Here is the awesome truth!

Part 19 of 23. How Christ Was Made Perfect

(Note: If you want the entire 23 parts to this series go to website: thetruechurch.net.)

Now grasp this: "...to make the captain of their salvation..." Christ is the captain of our salvation. Or, that may be translated also as the pioneer, who has gone on ahead, before us, into this matchless glory. He already has inherited all things---the universe!

But notice further: "to make the captain of their salvation perfect"---how? How was even Christ made perfect?---"through sufferings"!

And notice, in verse 11: "...he is not ashamed to call them brethren." Christ, in glory, is not ashamed to call us---who have his Spirit---who rely on and obey him---brethren!

"Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things he suffered; and being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him" (Heb. 5:8-9).

There it is again. Jesus is the author of our salvation---he wrote that salvation by his experience---he was the first human ever to achieve it---to be perfected, finished as a perfect character!

Jesus learned! He suffered! But out of it came perfection.

    Do you see?

    Do you begin to understand?

Satan did not upset God's plan. All that has happened, God permitted---for a purpose. Redemption is not a repairing of the damage---not a restoring to a condition "just as good" as Adam before the "fall." No, that was merely the beginning---the material creation. Redemption is the great spiritual creation. By it, God is creating in us something infinitely superior to Adam before he sinned.

Do you see what God is creating, in you and me? He is creating something higher than angels or archangels. He is creating the supreme masterpiece of all God's creation...holy, perfect, spiritual character.

    And what is character?

Our Lady of Fatima Part 7

    Third Secret

The third secret, a vision of the death of the Pope and other religious figures, was transcribed by the Bishop of Leiria and reads:

"After the two parts which I have already explained, at the left of Our Lady and a little above, we saw an Angel with a flaming sword in his left hand; flashing, it gave out flames that looked as though they would set the world on fire; but they died out in contact with the splendour that Our Lady radiated towards him from her right hand: pointing to the earth with his right hand, the Angel cried out in a loud voice: ‘Penance, Penance, Penance!' And we saw in an immense light that is God: ‘something similar to how people appear in a mirror when they pass in front of it' a Bishop dressed in White ‘we had the impression that it was the Holy Father'. Other Bishops, Priests, Religious men and women going up a steep mountain, at the top of which there was a big Cross of rough-hewn trunks as of a cork-tree with the bark; before reaching there the Holy Father passed through a big city half in ruins and half trembling with halting step, afflicted with pain and sorrow, he prayed for the souls of the corpses he met on his way; having reached the top of the mountain, on his knees at the foot of the big Cross he was killed by a group of soldiers who fired bullets and arrows at him, and in the same way there died one after another the other Bishops, Priests, Religious men and women, and various lay people of different ranks and positions. Beneath the two arms of the Cross there were two Angels each with a crystal aspersorium in his hand, in which they gathered up the blood of the Martyrs and with it sprinkled the souls that were making their way to God."

    Controversy around the Third Secret

The Vatican withheld the Third Secret until 26 June 2000, despite Lúcia's declaration that it could be released to the public after 1960. Some sources, including Canon Barthas and Cardinal Ottaviani, said that Lúcia insisted to them it must be released by 1960, saying that, "by that time, it will be more clearly understood", and, "because the Blessed Virgin wishes it so." When 1960 arrived, rather than releasing the Third Secret, the Vatican published an official press release stating that it was "most probable the Secret would remain, forever, under absolute seal." After this announcement, immense speculation over the content of the secret materialized. According to the New York Times, speculation over the content of the secret ranged from "worldwide nuclear annihilation to deep rifts in the Roman Catholic Church that lead to rival papacies."

Some sources claim that the four-page, handwritten text of the Third Secret released by the Vatican in the year 2000 is not the real secret, or at least not the full secret. In particular, it is alleged that Cardinals Bertone, Ratzinger and Sodano engaged in a systematic deception to cover-up the existence of a one-page document containing the words of the Blessed Virgin Mary, which some believe contains information about the Apocalypse and a great apostasy. These sources contend that the Third Secret actually comprises two texts, where one of these texts is the published four-page vision, and the other is a single-page letter allegedly containing the words of the Virgin Mary which has been concealed. The content of two of these books, The Devil's Final Battle by Father Paul Kramer, and The Secret Still Hidden by Christopher Ferrara, are available online.

The Vatican has maintained its position that the full text of the Third Secret was published in June 2000. According to a December 2001 Vatican press release (subsequently published in L'Ossevatore Romano), Lucia told then Archbishop Tarcisio Bertone in an interview that the secret had been completely revealed and published - that no secrets remained. Bertone, along with Cardinal Ratzinger, co-authored The Message of Fatima, the document published in June 2000 by the Vatican that allegedly contains a scanned copy of the original text of the Third Secret.

During his apostolic visit to Portugal between 11 and 14 May 2010 on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the beatification of Jacinta and Francisco Marto, Pope Benedict XVI explained in a rare conversation with reporters that the interpretation of the third secret did not stop with the interpretation of a prediction of the attempted assassination of Pope John Paul II in Saint Peter's Square in 1981. The Third Secret of Fatima said Benedict XVI, "has a permanent and ongoing significance" and that "its significance could even be extended to include the suffering the Church is going through today as a result of the recent reports of sexual abuse involving the clergy"

    1. Would you prefer that he visits you, tucks you in at bedtime, reads to you Biblical stories from the past, have some hot-milk with oreo cookies and before he leaves you for the night, He tells you who to put your money on for the next day's wager at the gambling booth?...lol

Because knowing you, that is what it is going to take for you to believe in Him. Even if he made appearances, you are still not going to believe in Him because you're going to say its all lies, people are making it up and that you want to see Him in person yourself to believe.

Now that is rather selfish of you...don't you think?

    2. The Bible clearly states that Adam and Eve were created last after everything else and remember now, a day for God is not like a day for you and I. It could be a thousand years or hundreds of thousands of years.

    3. Please!...now who is the one that is lying? No way are they going to release a math textbook to the schools before making sure everything has been proof read and verified to be error free! So don't go using a lie to backup your silly logic scenario.

    4. Lastly the Holy Bible has no lies in it, because it was written by God and God doesn't lie.

He revealed his character to Moses and his deeds to the people of Israel. The Lord is compassionate and merciful, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. ---Psalms 103:7-8

Sorry, Im late today, just getting home from church.

Keep posting Larry.  You make less and less sense with every post, or cut and paste.

One question for you - what is going to happen when we finish with the 23rd of the 23 cut and paste?  Will the rapture happen?  Will you find something else to cut and paste?

My favorite posts by you are the non cut and pastes - because I like to see how you think.  The post above is a classic.  I love it.

    Thanks Larry.
