Our Lady at Fatima Part 5

Fate of the three children

Lucia reported seeing the Virgin Mary again in 1925 at the Dorothean convent at Pontevedra, Galicia (Spain). This time she said she was asked to convery the message of the First Saturday Devotions. By here account a subsequent vision of Christ as a child reiterated this request.

Lucia was transferred to another convent in Tui or Tuy, Galicia in 1928. In 1929, Lucia reported that Mary returned and repeated her request for the Consecration of Russia to her Immaculate Heart.

Lucia reportedly saw Mary in private visions periodically throughout her life. Most significant was the apparition in Rianxo, Galicia, in 1931, in which she said the Jesus visited her, taught her two prayers and delievered a message to give to the church's hierarchy.

In 1947, Sister Lucia left the Dorothean order and joined the Discalced Carmelite order in a monastery in Coimbra, Portugal. Lucia died on 13 February 2002, at the age of 97. After her death, the Vatican, specifically Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger (at the time, still head of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith), ordered her cell sealed off. It is believed this was because Sister Lucia had continued to receive more revelations and the evidence needed to be examined in the course of proceedings for her possible canonization.

Lucia's cousins, the siblings Francisco (1908-1919) and Jacinta Marto (1910-1920), were both victims of the Great Spanish Flu Epidemic of 1918-20. Francisco and Jacinta were declared venerable by Pope John Paul II in a public ceremony at Fatima on 13 May 1989. Pope John Paul II returned there on 13 May 2000 to declare the 'blessed' (a title of veneration below that of sainthood; see Canonization). Jacinta is the youngest non-martyred child ever to be beatified.

In 1941, Lucia claimed that the Virgin Mary had predicted the death of two of the children during the second apparition on 13 June 1917. Some accounts, including the testimony of Olimpia Marto (mother of the two younger children) state that her children did not keep this information secret and ectatically predicted their own deaths many times to her and to curious pilgrims. According to the 1941 account, on 13 June, Lucia asked the Virgin if the three childer would go to heaven when they died. She said that she heard Mary reply, "Yes, I shall take Francisco and Jacinta soon, but you will remain a little longer, since Jesus wishes you to make me known and loved on earth. He wishes also for you to establish devotion in the world to my Immaculate Heart."

Exhumed in 1935 and again in 1951, Jacinta's face was found incorrulpt. Francisco's body, however had decomposed.

Every point you tried to make here has been debunked.  The issue is that you don't accept the facts, but they don't change because you don't accept them.

One question to ask you though, since you love to state that we believe something came from nothing, where did the material God used to create the universe come from?

Let's debunk this nonsense one last time.

"If you want to believe the universe popped into existence out of NOTHING, by NOTHING, for NOTHING then that is your belief."

No non believer here that i'm aware of has stated that, infact that's what you believe, God created the world out of material that didn't exist but came into existence via magic words.

If you want to believe, as a result of that explosion that came from nothing, caused by pure random flukey chance what we see today, then that is your belief.

Nobody that properly understands the big bang, whether they agree with it or not would call it an explosion. Since you know that already but say it anyway, I'm going to have to call you out for your dishonesty.  Lying is a sin in your book of magic fables, so you may want to get right with God for lying just in case you don't make it home tonight.

"From that, as the earth was formed by pure flukey chance, the earth and anything formed from it has NO PURPOSE. As there was no creator and everything happened by a fluke, there is no purpose."

More evidence that you don't even have a basic education in astronomy. You should really consider at least learning the basics of what you don't like before you make arguments against it. Either you have no clue what you are talking about or you are lying.

And there is a "reason" the universe exists. Nobody will dispute that, however we don't believe your kindergarten tales about how it all happened. Especalyyy when none of you can even give any details about it. "God did it" explains nothing.

"If i created a chair, the purpose is for someone to sit on it. If the earth and humanity was formed by no creator and just pure fluke, well then there is no purpose. Much like a tornado ripping through a town. The debri has the same purpose as earth - NOTHING."

Ah, so now we know the real reason you believe in God. Without God you feel life has no purpose. That's a personal issue with you. That does not make a God exist because you feel that you have no purpose without one. Gods don't pop into existance just because you need one to make sense of the world. However If you need a invisble teddy bear to get you through life, fine. Just realize that there are millions of people that don't.

You can believe, something outside of space, time and matter created space, time and matter with an ultimate purpose that we see today. The inteligence, order and design we see in the cosmos and in our bodies came from an intelligent creator.

Not very intelligent at all.

"Human beings were created in the image of the designer. Human beings are occupying the House "earth" of the intelligent designer and must live by his rules."

Humans were not even here first. Insects have been on this planet longer, and there are more of them. I'd say they are occupying the house of earth.

If you dont, then the consequences are severe, but the good news is that you can say you are sorry, its never to late and the benefits are tremendous.

More consequences that you can't prove. Where is hell? How do we burn without bodies and nervous systems? Are we just supposed to accept your assertions even though they make no sense at all? We are not bronze age people, this is the age of reason and we are no longer spooked by phony threats of punishment.

Why in the world would a creator punish his creation just for not believing in him? Is he really that petty and childish? Even if i believed in a God, i could not picture it giving a rats ass about us believing in it or not. That should be the least of it's worries. I would like to think it would me much more concerned about how we treated each other. But no, it's only concern is if we believe in it.

No matter how good of a person you are, according to your stupid believes you will go to hell if you don't believe a story.

Example

Person A: Kills 25 people in a killing spree. Goes to death row, while on death row, discovers Jesus and is "forgiven" and upon his death will go to heaven.

The people person A killed if they didn't accept Jesus, will go to hell, no questions asked.

So in heaven Person A is enjoying heaven for all eternity, while the people he killed, innocent victims are being punished, no matter how they behaved on this planet for not believing what amounts to be a story in a book. And you call that justice.

Go tell your God to fuck himself in his ass with the biggest broom he's got.

Any prayer requests as of late ?  I have an answered prayer I would like to share with all the beautiful people of Covers.  My back has been experiencing bizarre pain for almost 2 years I started praying fervently for it about two months ago.  Two weeks ago it disappeared almost supernaturally.

Jeremiah lived for 40 years in Judah just before the people were exiled to Babylon, and his prophecies were collected into the book that now bears his name. The main message of his prophecies is simple: It is too late to avoid God's discipline, so accept it and turn from your sins. After a time of punishment, however, God will restore Judah. Jeremiah often used figurative actions to communicate this message, such as shattering a clay jar to show how God will shatter Jerusalem. Sadly to say, Jeremiah's messages were not well received. His audience discounted his warnings, locked him up in stocks, and even threatened his life. As a result, Jeremiah lived to see the invasions by the Babylonian armies, the deportations of his people, the slaughter of Jerusalem's inhabitants, and the destruction of the Temple. Because of his troubles, Jeremiah has often been called "the weeping prophet."

Praise the Lord Almighty!!

Yea, a friend of mine lost his leg. He's prayed everyday since he lost it. Still no leg Guess he hasn't prayed hard enough, or god doesn't like him as much as you two. Maybe he needs to start copying and pasting more bible verses.

Confirmation Bias: Anything that happens to you that supports your view = God. Anything bad that happens to you or that doesn't coincide with your beliefs = can't be God. Pick and choose the facts that support you.

MRGETRICH - your video actually gives us an answer to Rostos regarding why humans don't have fur. It was a genetic mutation whereby apes (a few at the beginning) were born with very little hair. They probably were cold so they started wearing clothes. And slowly, over time, this mutation became the norm and thus, humans without fur. Is this 100% true? No. But you tell me what's more reasonable, what I just said or that god waved his magic wand and yelled "EXPELLIARMUS" lololol

Clearly this long drawn out post by you is so indicative of a person who is so angry & frustrated. Let me make a suggestion...find some space in that aching heart & mind of yours to be comforted by the Good Lord Almighty!

O Lord, I am calling to you. Please hurry! Listen when I cry to you for help! ---Psalm 141:1

Praise the Lord Almighty!!

Only thing I'm frustrated with is the fact that I have people who think i have a problem because I don't believe in something that doesn't exist.

I'm not frustrated with the fact that there are people here who think I have a problem because I believe in God who does exist.

If coming to this thread frustrates you,  I suggest maybe you shouldn't come to this thread...take a break.

KittyKatz, in the US, the "big-six" media giants (News Corp. e.c.t) tower over the rest and collectively control news and entertainment. Outside of what these big-six don't control is becoming concentrated with companies like Google, Yahoo and Microsoft dominating the Internet. The media giant in control of the "Discovery Channel" do not exist to objectively tell the truth. Rather, the primary purpose of their existence is to make $$$$$. Media corporations are not going to do anything to threaten their relationships with their biggest advertisers. When a pharmaceutical company is allowed to fund a program and control its ideological viewpoint, is this not a conflict of interest on the Discovery Channel. Do you think media corporations are not going to express the ideological viewpoints of their owners. Just look at its renewable energy resources blackouts. Flashback a few years when schools first started signing contracts with "Channel One," an organization which promises to provide schools with free television equipment and wiring in exchange for a mandatory daily viewing of the programs produced, edited, and broadcast them. The 12-minute programs aired daily are interspersed with 2-minutes of corporate sponsorship messages, half of which were paid for by US taxpayers care of the Department of Defence, and in the form of military recruitment pitches to the captive children who are required to watch. Pentagon has even supported the development of PC war game software after discovering their use as both recruitment and as military training vehicles. Take the Microsoft Xbox game Close Combat: First to Fight. Created by and for the military, but soon ported directly to "T" for teens. Blind faith in the media is a dangerous thing. When a media giant control radio and television stations, newspapers and other print media, it is called controlled opposition. At the end of the day, Discovery is focused on popular science and technology specifically aimed at a target audience. And when a brand is a publicly traded company run by a CEO, they are not there to educate you, they exist to make money. Even look how Einstein was trusted but manipulated the equation in the theory of relativity to attempt to get rid of the universe having a beginning because he thought one would have to conclude that the uni was created by God.

Because this thread is the only place where it's a problem? Way to use your brain there. Must hurt since it's apparent you don't use it that much.

Aerial - You advocate against blind faith in the media, but seem to be ok with blind faith in god? I think the latter is far worse than the former (on account of the fact that I can actually see the former). However, simply put, if your strongest argument against the accuracy of educational programming is some sort of conspiracy theory or propaganda theory, I'm not really buying it. I'm not saying the media isn't slanted because it certainly is, especially if you consider the reporting styles and story choices of competing news shows, but I can't see why the science or discovery channels would be telling anything but the truth, given the complexity of the theories as well as the fact that they don't just talk about one theory, they consider them all and admit when something is doubtful. I'm not saying I'd undoubtedly be able to detect if something was fishy, but it seems highly unlikely.

Good mornin' everybody!...My Christian brothers & sisters, the irresolutors & the heathens!, how is everyone today on this fine, beautiful 4th day of June?...I'm fine myself thankyou!

Let me start today with the Lord's prayer. For you irresolutors & heathens, feel free to join in. Ok let's bow our heads and pray.

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever, Amen.----Matthew 6:9:13

Praise the Lord Almighty!!
