Its easy for me to second guess but how do you trade away Cespedes who is in the line up every day and provides not only power but also protection for Donaldson and vice versa? Now, it's easy to pitch around Donaldson because no one else is a fukking threat. They already had 4 solid starters, I wish they would've kept Milone and Cespedes. i was actually just gonna type that. it s like they sold out to the devil. they built the best record in the league on money ball and its like the devil on their shoulder saw lester and they went against what they do. this has to be the first time in history a team with the best record in baseball traded away their cleanup hitter at the deadline. if it aint broke....

AMD-it was a horrible move and so unlike Beane-these rent moves almost never work-and feed fuel to the opponents...classic examples abound like the Astros in 1998 getting Randy Johnson, Phillies with Lee...break up chemisty on a team 25 games over .500?
