20 of the Yankee’s 27 World Series wins came when the World Series was simply the team with the best record from the AL playing the team with the best record from the NL (IIRC).
Funny how you Yankee fans are so quick to brag about those 27 World Series wins when 20 of them came when there wasn’t even a playoff system.
