After a statement road win in Winnipeg, the 2-5 BC Lions will look to claw their way back into the playoff race, and a matchup with the reeling Hamilton Tiger-Cats sets up as a lopsided affair on Aug. 8.
Set as seven-point favorites, find out why I'm backing the home team to cover in my Tiger-Cats vs. Lions predictions and CFL picks, with kickoff set for 7 p.m. ET on TSN.
Who will win Tiger-Cats vs Lions: Lions -7 (-110)
My original pick in the Grey Cup odds, the BC Lions are set to regain traction with the return of reigning MOP quarterback Nathan Rourke.
Rourke had missed the Lions' last two games with a shoulder injury suffered in Week 7, but Rourke and Co. will easily one-up a Hamilton Tiger-Cats offence that ranks dead last in net yards (327.3 per game).
BC's offence led the CFL in scoring last season with Rourke under center, and the Lions will also welcome slotback Jevon Cottoy and running back James Butler back into the lineup this week. With their key playmakers returning, expect the Lions to take full advantage of the fast track at BC Place.
Playable to -9.5 in the CFL odds.

Tiger-Cats vs Lions total prediction: Under 56.5 (-110)
After initially struggling out of the gate, BC's defence has stepped up under Mike Benevides, limiting opponents to 21.3 points per game over its last three contests. The unit will also be getting reinforcements back, including veteran defensive back T.J. Lee and defensive lineman Levi Bell.
The Lions' D will stay hot against a Ticats team that remains without QB Bo Levi Mitchell and will turn to Harrison Frost for his first start of the season. Frost has been with the team for less than a month and completed just 9 of 20 passes in relief of Tre Ford last week.
I'd bet this down to 54.5.
Tiger-Cats vs Lions same-game parlay
Unlike the June 19 showdown that saw Hamilton take out BC 41-27, Mitchell won’t be a factor the Leos’ D has to account for this time around.
Rourke still moved the ball at will despite the loss, completing 68.6% of his passes for 291 yards before being pulled for Chase Brice in garbage time. WR1 Keon Hatcher was also sidelined in that matchup.
