The Chicago Sky head to Barclays Center for an early afternoon tilt against the New York Liberty on Saturday, Aug. 29.
The Liberty were blown out by the Valkyries when last seen, but my Sky vs. Liberty predictions and WNBA picks predict a big win for them behind strong play from Sabrina Ionescu, Breanna Stewart and Jonquel Jones.

The Chicago Sky have surrendered the most PRA to opposing guards this season, and Sabrina Ionescu should reap the benefits of a phenomenal matchup on Saturday.
After a sluggish start following an injury layoff, she’s back to her productive form, averaging 28.3 PRA across her last 16 games while posting 26+ nine times.
Ionescu finished with 37 PRA in each of her last two tilts with the Sky, and with key backcourt injuries to DiJonai Carrington, Sydney Taylor and Natasha Cloud, she should enjoy some more breathing room at home.
I’ll play this one to 28.5.
COVERS INTEL: Over the last 10 games, Chicago sports the worst Defensive Rating against opposing guards. In that span, Ionescu ranks in the Top-10 among all guards in average PRA.
Sky vs Liberty same-game parlay
Stewie has scored 20+ in two of her last three and 19 of 38 games overall, including two of three matchups with the Sky. I’ll play to 22.5 as Stewart faces a Sky defense ranked 11th across its last 10 games.
Cloud had to post a career-high 35 points to get a win last week, and she’s questionable. Taylor averaged 27.5 points in two one-point losses to the New York Liberty, and her minutes have been slashed since returning from injury.
Chicago simply doesn’t have the offensive firepower to compete. I’ll play this to 9.5.
