With rough patches behind them, the New York Liberty and Las Vegas Aces meet in the desert tonight in a heavyweight bout.

My WNBA picks and Liberty vs. Aces predictions expect a high-scoring affair.

I’m targeting a combo line for the surging A’ja Wilson and a points prop for Jewell Loyd, who has played great since shifting to the bench.

Liberty vs Aces predictions

My Liberty vs Aces best bet: A’ja Wilson Over 36.5 points + rebounds + assists (-105 via bet365)

In her last game out, A'ja Wilson became the first player in WNBA history to post at least 30 points and 20 rebounds in a single game. I expect her to build on that momentum in a friendly home matchup with the New York Liberty.

Over her last three outings (including the historic 30/20 game), Wilson has averaged 46 PRA and hit the Over on this line in each of them.

She was injured against the Liberty on July 8 and logged just 14 minutes, but in the season opener, the healthy Wilson dropped 31/16/3 on New York.

Wilson’s recent success isn’t a hot streak. She’s been great all season with an average of 35.2 PRA per game, including 37.4 at home and 33 on the road. Wilson has averaged 37.8 PRA across her last five home games and hit the Over in three of them.

The Liberty have allowed the most rebounds and the seventh-most points per game this season, but New York has been generous in points allowed across their last 10.

Wilson should have no problem hitting the Over here.

Liberty vs Aces same-game parlay (SGP)

A’ja Wilson Over 36.5 points + rebounds + assists

Jewell Loyd Over 11.5 points

Over 171

Jewell Loyd averaged 10.4 points in 25 starts, but she’s posted 14.7 points across seven games off the bench this season. Across her last seven, she’s scored at least 12 points five times.

The Las Vegas Aces’ defense is below average making this underpriced line a great value.

Over the last 10 games, the Liberty and Aces both rank in the top-6 in most points per game allowed, combining to allow 170.5.

In that span, both teams rank in the bottom-6 in defensive rating and top-6 in pace. Both teams’ offenses have been firing on all cylinders, as they each rank in the top-6 in points per game scored.

In a battle of strong offenses and lackluster defenses, I’ll bet the Over.
