Northwestern vs Oregon Picks & Props
NW vs ORE Picks
NCAAF PicksOregon is coming off its third loss of the season and continues to disappoint after entering the year with national championship aspirations. While many will view this home matchup as a get-right spot, Northwestern has the defensive chops and offensive firepower to make things uncomfortable for the Ducks. I'm backing the Wildcats to keep this one competitive in Eugene.
Northwestern has a massive opportunity to boost its resume against a struggling Oregon team with three losses already on its record. The Ducks have been a major disappointment, and with No. 2 Ohio State looming next week, the Wildcats can take advantage. I like Northwestern to come out firing early, and taking the first-half moneyline provides some valuable cushion.
Northwestern's high-scoring offense and Oregon's up-tempo attack create an appealing setup for the over. The Ducks rank second in the Big Ten in pace, while the Wildcats can pick things up when leading in the second half. Even with Oregon's quarterback uncertainty, this matchup has enough scoring potential to clear 46.5 points.
Oregon is on upset alert after falling to 4-3 following last week's loss to Illinois. With Dan Lanning's seat heating up, the Ducks face a No. 20 Northwestern team that can exploit their defensive struggles with an elite rushing attack. I'm taking the Wildcats to cover, with the moneyline worth a sprinkle if you're feeling froggy.
Northwestern should be fully motivated to secure a big road win after dropping a close one to Indiana a few weeks ago. Meanwhile, Oregon sits at 4-3 and could be ready to throw in the towel before November. That’s why I’m combining Northwestern +3.5, first-half +2.5 and the over 46.5 for a fun 4.88x sweat!
