It's time to back Yoshinobu Yamamoto and hit the Under on the Brewers' team total of 2.5, which I have at a fair probability of 52%. The right-hander pitched to a 2.06 ERA in the second half, allowing just 26 hits over 40+ innings. He went seven frames and allowed just one run vs. the Braves in the NLDS and is pitching on extra rest. Dating back to last year's postseason, the Dodgers are 6-1 when Yamamoto pitches, and he owns a 1.42 ERA and 2.45 FIP. He's recorded 21+ outs in four of his last five postseason starts. The Milwaukee bats can't have a ton of confidence after last night's 2-1 win, and Yamamoto's leash should be long as the Dodgers look to even the series.

Drew Rasmussen averaged 87 pitches per start during the regular season, but he tossed a 24-out, 101-pitch game vs. the Yankees in the ALDS and has thrown 97+ pitches in five of his last seven starts. Over that stretch, he allowed just six runs in 45.2 innings for a nasty 1.18 ERA. It's a seven-game series, so Tampa can bring Rasmussen back on full rest for Game 5. The Rays starter tossed seven shutout frames vs. the Guardians at home in their last meeting in late July, needing just 91 pitches while striking out nine. If he keeps dealing, he'll pitch.

Moneyline
This is the most common and easiest wager for a bettor to make when it comes to MLB picks. Basically, to win an MLB moneyline pick, you just have to choose which team will win the game.
It's simple: if you bet the White Sox moneyline over the Red Sox and Chicago wins, you win your bet.
Run line
The run line is another name for a point spread that you may be more familiar with in NBA and NFL betting. A point spread varies in the NFL and NBA from as little as 0.5 points up to double-digit spreads. A baseball run line is almost always a 1.5-point spread.
The favorite will be -1.5 while the underdog will be +1.5. At the end of the game, if you take away 1.5 runs from the favorite or add 1.5 runs to the underdog and they end up winning the game, you win your MLB pick against the spread.
Totals (Over/Under)
Another common wager is to bet on the total in baseball, which is a bet on the total runs scored in the baseball game. You are simply choosing whether the final score will be Over or Under that total. Betting the Over/Under on a matchup is a great way to get started in MLB score predictions.

NRFI/YRFI MLB Picks
A new and emerging MLB betting market is the NRFI/YRFI bet. These are quick-hitters in which you make a wager on the O/U total of the first inning, typically set at 0.5 runs.
