Sunday sees a reunion of sorts as Luis Enrique leads his PSG side into a FIFA Club World Cup match against Inter Miami at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.

Lionel Messi will look to defeat his former club and carry the banner for MLS To do so, he’ll have to defeat a dominant PSG side led by his former Barcelona manager, who have won four of five and scored at will the past few months.

Find out why my PSG vs. Inter Miami predictions and FIFA Club World Cup free picks expect the European champions to dominate from start to finish on Sunday, June 29.

PSG vs Inter Miami picks and predictions

My PSG vs Inter Miami best bet: PSG to win both halves (+138 at FanDuel)

PSG have outscored their opponents in seven of their last 10 halves. Those matches include the final of the Coupe de France, the Champions League final, and their three matches at the Club World Cup.

Aside from the first halves against Botafogo and Seattle, PSG have vastly outperformed their opponents in xG in every half during that five-match span.

While Inter Miami come into this match unbeaten over their last six, they’ve not faced anybody of the calibre of this PSG side. And despite that, Inter Miami had to come back to defeat Porto 2-1 in their second group stage match and then hold on to get a draw against Palmeiras. That’s after failing to score against Al Ahly, a side that conceded six goals in their other group stage outings.

This Inter Miami team struggles to deal with teams that have pace and can apply pressure in an organized manner. PSG displays both of those qualities at a level few teams in the world can match.

Their midfield is arguably the best in the world at the moment, their defense has kept clean sheets in four of the last five outings, and their front line is terrifying to deal with in open space.

While the Herons have had some time to rest up — given their last match was on Monday — they’re still a team with aging stars. Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi are both 38 years old, while Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets are 36.

The latter is key to everything Miami does in midfield, and he will be run ragged dealing with the likes of Vitinha, Fabien Ruiz, and Joao Neves.

It's clear from the odds that PSG is expected not only to win, but to win convincingly. Given the best prices available on the market, the Parisians are -180 on the first half 3-way money line, and -225 on the 3-way line to win the second half.

With this being a knockout stage, Miami won’t be able to sit back once PSG gets the lead. They’ve led at halftime in six of their last eight matches, and will do so against a leaky Miami side.

The second half will see them punish the MLS unit as they push forward, taking chances, and will take victory in both halves, allowing us to profit from the result.

PSG vs Inter Miami same-game parlay (SGP)

PSG to win both halves

PSG over 6.5 shots on target

Lionel Messi 1+ shot on target from outside box

PSG have had at least seven accurate shots in six of their last seven matches, the outing against an extremely compact Botafogo notwithstanding. The French side attempted 16 shots in that match, with eight of them blocked.

Inter Miami conceded eight shots on target to Al Ahly and another seven to Palmeiras. Porto had accurate attempts on just three of their 14 shots, but they missed two big chances and have had major accuracy problems this campaign. PSG rarely waste opportunities, and getting to seven SOT won’t be an issue here.

We banked on Lionel Messi testing the keeper from outside the box in Miami’s last match, and he came through for us. We’ll go back to the well here as he’s now put a shot on target from distance in six consecutive outings.
