Turkey vs Wales predictions

Moneyline pick

Turkey was stifled against Italy in their opening match of the tournament, losing by a final score of 3-0. That said, the Azzurri are the class of Group A and have been routinely racking up clean sheets against every opponent.

The Crescent-Stars looked terrific in Euro qualifiers with seven wins (including a 2-0 victory over France) and two draws in 10 matches. Turkey also entered this tournament in fine form with victories in March against the Netherlands (4-2) and Norway (3-0)

Wales came away from their match against Switzerland with a point but their play was less than inspiring. The Swiss outshot Wales 18-9 and outside of set pieces, the Dragons really struggled to build any momentum when attacking. The Welsh were one of the darlings of Euro 2016, advancing to the semifinals where they lost to eventual champions Portugal.

Since then it's been a bit of a mixed bag for the Dragons but they have looked strong lately. Wales entered this tournament having won eight of their previous 10 international fixtures, and their lone defeat during that span came against a terrific Belgium side that was out for revenge after being upset by Wales at Euro 2016.

The Crescent-Stars haven't lost back-to-back matches since ?enol Güne? took over as manager in February 2019. That said, oddsmakers might be underestimating a Wales team that is very sound defensively and has only lost once since the summer of 2019. Expect a tight match with few scoring opportunities in open play and bet the draw at +210.

PREDICTION: Draw (+210)

Player Prop Pick

Winger Gareth Bale might be the biggest name on the Welsh side but it was Kieffer Moore who evened the score against Switzerland in the 74th minute. The 28-year-old also almost found the back of the net on another header 15 minutes into the match but was robbed by Swiss keeper Yann Sommer.

Moore had been largely relegated to the bench with new manager Robert Page preferring to use a false nine. But the 6-foot-5 forward scored 20 goals with Cardiff this past season and his dominance in the box could be exactly the boost Wales needs up front.

If Page wants to pierce Turkey's tough defensive structure he would be wise to utilize Moore once again — which places good value on his goal prop.

PREDICTION: Kieffer Moore - Anytime Goal (+300)
