The NHL Playoffs resume on two Western fronts tonight. The Edmonton Oilers will try to wrap things up with the Los Angeles Kings in five games, while the Dallas Stars and Vegas Golden Knights battle for a 3-2 lead.

I'm mixing the intrigue of those matchups with a three-legged parlay ticket of my favorite NHL picks, and we also have a same-game parlay for both machups on May 1.

NHL playoffs parlay picks April 29

NHL parlay pick

Leon Draisaitl 2+ points

Jack Eichel anytime goalscorer

Jason Robertson Over 0.5 points

With Connor McDavid leading the playoffs in scoring and Zach Hyman continuing his dream season, teammate Leon Draisaitl cruises under the radar and continues to wreck shop.

He’s tied for fourth in playoff scoring with three goals and five assists, putting up multi-point efforts in three of Edmonton’s four games. As a team, the Oilers are the second-highest-scoring team in the playoffs at 4.50 goals per game, trailing only the Colorado Avalanche.

Draisaitl picked up a helper on the lone goal of Game 4, the first time in six games overall he’s failed to pick up multiple points against the Kings. Draisaitl’s production at Rogers Place is a big reason the Oil are favorites to close out the series at home. In his last 10 home games, the German center has picked up at least two points in eight of them.

Vegas Golden Knights center Jack Eichel scored six times in the final eight games of the regular season, and he’s carried that momentum into the playoffs. His three goals and three assists lead Vegas in postseason scoring, and he picked up a goal in the Golden Knights’ 4-2 loss in Game 4 — giving him a tally in three straight.

He’s been productive on the road as well, with points in seven of his last 11 away from T-Mobile Arena, including six goals.

The Dallas Stars’ offense is as varied in the postseason as it was in the regular season, with no less than 14 skaters having already picked up at least a point. Jason Robertson is at the top of that scoring list, tied with Miro Heiskanen and Wyatt Johnston with four points through the first four games.

He was kept off the scoresheet for the first time in the series in Game 4, but if he stays on his current level of play, Robertson shouldn’t have a problem picking up at least a point in Game 5. Including the regular season, he failed to register a point in back-to-back games just once in his last 26 games.

Robertson has been a consistent contributor at American Airlines Arena: including Games 1 and 2 of this series, he now has points in seven of his last 11 home games.

Though the Stars have a deep lineup and plenty of offensive weapons, Robertson emerging and taking the reins as the top option for Dallas will be crucial in a series that has now been whittled down to a best-of-three.

Golden Knights vs. Stars same-game parlay (SGP)

Stars -1.5

Wyatt Johnston anytime goalscorer

If we are backing Dallas to win by multiple goals, then we need some of its skaters to find the back of the net. Enter Wyatt Johnston, who has scored three goals over the past two games.

The 20-year-old has been Dallas’ best forward in this series by a pretty wide margin, which is incredible given that he can’t even legally buy a beer in Texas yet. Not only does Johnston lead the Stars in expected goals per 60 minutes, but he ranks fourth among all playoff skaters in that category.

Kings vs Oilers same-game parlay (SGP)

Kings moneyline

Under 6.5

This should be a game that resembles the 1-0 Edmonton win as opposed to the 6-1 final from Game 3. The Oilers have scored eight power-play goals in the series and because this is an elimination game, the referees should put the whistles away. That gives a big advantage to the Kings who were the better team in Game 4 despite the outcome. If this game is played at 5-on-5, the Kings have a great chance to extend the series in a low-scoring tilt.
