Mammoth vs Rangers best bet: Mammoth moneyline (-110)
The Utah Mammoth have won two of the three meetings between these teams since moving from Arizona, and given the New York Rangers’ struggles this season, that success is likely to continue on Monday.
New York has played a poor brand of hockey, ranking 29th in expected goals for per 60 minutes (xGF/60), 24th in expected goals against per 60 minutes (xGA/60), and 30th in expected goal share.
The Mammoth outrank the Rangers in each of those three key categories.
There are only two reasons this game is listed as a pick ’em. First, New York holds home-ice advantage.
That said, the Rangers are a dismal 5-10-3 at Madison Square Garden this season.
Second, goaltender Igor Shesterkin is slated to start for New York. Shesterkin remains one of the league’s top goaltenders, but he has struggled against Utah.
Through two career meetings, Shesterkin is 1-0-1 with a fade-worthy .842 SV% and a 4.35 GAA. Meanwhile, the Mammoth are expected to turn to Karel Vejmelka in goal.
Vejmelka won his previous start against the Rangers, stopping 20 of 22 shots in a 3-2 victory.

If Utah is to win this game, it will need goal production. There may not be a better candidate than Clayton Keller, who has scored nine times over his past 11 games against New York.
There is also a strong correlation with Nick Schmaltz recording an assist, given that he centers the first line alongside Keller and has assisted on two of Keller’s past three goals.
