Barkov injury painful for Panthers
It's not official as of Friday afternoon, but the smart money is saying that Aleksander Barkov is done for the season following a freak knee injury suffered during a Thursday practice session.
Going to know more in the next 24-48 hours, but Panthers are bracing for the possibility their captain, Aleksander Barkov, could be lost for the season.

Would be brutal, no one wants to see that…but, unfortunately, was a bad injury.
The Florida Panthers went from +650 and a clear-cut Stanley Cup odds favorite to a +1100 sixth-choice, tied with the Tampa Bay Lightning. The Edmonton Oilers, the two-time runners-up to the Panthers in the Final, are now +800 favorites, down from +850.
Hot on the Oilers' heels in the NHL odds are the Dallas Stars at +850, down from +900. Also falling half a point and into third place are the current favorites from the East, the Carolina Hurricanes, at +900.
Rounding out the Top 5 are the Colorado Avalanche and the Vegas Golden Knights, tied at +950.
