All eyes will be on Gillette Stadium with the Houston Texans visiting the New England Patriots with a trip to the AFC Conference Championship on the line Sunday, January 18.
My top same-game parlay NFL picks and Texans vs. Patriots predictions are calling for New England quarterback Drake Maye and running back Rhamondre Stevenson to lead the way in covering the spread to advance through the Divisional Round.
Our best Texans vs Patriots SGP for the AFC Divisional Round
The New England Patriots led the NFL in offensive DVOA dating back to Week 14 of the regular season, and I’m confident quarterback Drake Maye’s mobility can offset the penetrating pass rush of the Houston Texans.
New England has covered the number in 12 of the past 15 games, and I’m anticipating Houston QB C.J. Stroud and the offense to struggle against a Pats defense that ranked seventh in defensive DVOA during the same five-game stretch.
Returning to Maye, he’s rushed for 41 or more yards in three of the past five games, and the Texans also surrendered the second-highest yards per rush to opposing quarterbacks during the regular season (6.42).
Rounding out the same-game parlay, New England running back Rhamondre Stevenson ranks seventh in PFF pass block grade, so I’m expecting him to play a leading role as both a blocker and receiver to further help mitigate the Houston pass rush.
Of course, Stevenson has also topped this total in each of the past six games while averaging 41 receiving yards per game.
Note if there is an applicable parlay boost available.
