It’s the final week of the NFL regular season, and with so much to play for, we’re picking our top three selections to score first in their respective Week 18 NFL matchups.
Here are my best three NFL picks for Sunday, January 4.

TD prop #1: Travis Etienne first TD scorer
At these odds, you’re not getting huge odds, but sometimes smaller odds can still offer reasonable value.
The Jacksonville Jaguars are big 13-point favorites against the Tennessee Titans and know they seal the division with a win, and potentially even the first-round bye, if other results go their way later in the day. The Titans have given up 18 touchdowns to opposing running backs this season and have been struggling against the run.
It's been a strong season for Travis Etienne, who has 13 touchdowns, of which seven were rushing, and six were in the passing game. He’s hit real form in the past month, too, with six touchdowns in that span. He’s scored the first touchdowns in three games this season, more than any other Jaguars player, and is a heavy favorite here.
TD prop #2: Travis Kelce first TD scorer
The Chris Oladokun experience continues for the Kansas City Chiefs this week, but the Las Vegas Raiders are a far easier proposition to face than either the Titans or last week's opponents, the Broncos. Not only that, but the Raiders actively want to lose this game, as seen with them shutting down Maxx Crosby.
If anyone is going to score for the Chiefs on Sunday, then it’s Travis Kelce, in what could be his last game for the franchise. He’s scored five touchdowns this season but also leads the team in red zone targets since Oladokun has been under center.
TD prop #3: Blake Whiteheart first TD scorer
The Cleveland Browns are 7.5-point underdogs here against the Cincinnati Bengals, and everything points towards the Bengals getting the win, but there’s a huge value opportunity available. Both Harold Fannin Jr and David Njoku are out of the game, which gives Blake Whiteheart a chance to show off their talent.
The reason that a third-string tight end suddenly becomes an active consideration here is that the Bengals have given up 16 touchdowns to tight ends this season, the most of any team by a substantial margin. With both Fannin and Njoku out, we’re pivoting to Whiteheart to score first at huge odds.
