TD prop #1: Josh Allen first TD scorer
Cometh the hour, cometh the man, and Josh Allen always comes up big towards the end of the season.
The quarterback has 16 touchdowns to his name this season and has continued to use his legs more as the season has progressed. Before the Week 7 bye, he had three rushing touchdowns in six games. He has since scored 13 times in 11 games.
With four touchdowns in his past two games, including two against the Jags in the Wild Card round, we’ve seen Allen put the Bills on his back.
James Cook has played brilliantly all season but in the big moments, it’s Allen who is trusted with the ball. He’s had six rushing touchdowns in his last six playoff games, and can be relied upon to get important carries near the goal line.
TD prop #2: Zach Charbonnet first TD scorer
I absolutely love the odds on Zach Charbonnet to open the scoring in the game against the Niners.
Firstly, Sam Darnold is questionable, and while he should play, there’s potential that the team focuses on the run as their quarterback isn’t 100% healthy. That bodes well against the Niners, who have seen their run defense crumble without Fred Warner on the field.
Charbonnet has scored the opening touchdown in more games than any other player in the NFL this season (5). He’s scored 12 times in total this season and has out-carried Kenneth Walker 10-1 inside the red zone over the past three weeks of the season.
I'm all in on "Charbs" here.
TD prop #3: Davante Adams first TD scorer
Davante Adams returned to action in the Wild Card round after three weeks out, but didn’t find the end zone. There’s no need to panic, though.
Adams has scored 14 touchdowns this season and become an integral part of the Rams offense. Of all the teams remaining in the playoffs, it’s the Bears who’ve given up the most touchdowns to wide-outs this season, having allowed 20 in the regular season.
Adams is an elite pass catcher, and has over double the red zone targets of Puka Nacua (32-14) over the course of the season.
