The blustery and at times frigid conditions of fall and winter aren't here yet, and most of the games highlighted in my NFL Week 1 weather updates will be played under the warmth of late-summer sun.
But whether it's a thunderstorm or intense heat and humidity, there are still challenges to deal with and factor into your NFL picks.
Latest NFL Week 1 weather updates
Updated at 2:30 p.m. ET on Thursday, Sept. 10.
Here are the games that could face the most weather issues. See below for the full forecast across the entire slate.
- Bears vs. Panthers: The blistering North Carolina heat will be felt by all, with the humidity making it seem like 94 degrees at times. Conditioning will be tested, especially late in the game.
- Browns vs. Jaguars: We see a similar tale down in Florida, though the heavy air and humidity will bring the temperature even higher to 100 degrees. There's a chance of a thunderstorm or rain to break up the heat, but that of course comes with its own challenges.
- Jets vs. Titans: The September heat in the South will lead to a whole lot of sweaty messes around the league, this time feeling like 94 degrees in Tennessee.
- Broncos vs. Chiefs: The finale of Week 1 on Monday Night Football gets the highest chance of precipitation, meaning that Patrick Mahomes could need to cope with soggy and windy conditions during his likely first game back after a significant knee injury.
