Two teams that are badly in need of a win will face off on Sunday as the Las Vegas Raiders host the Cleveland Browns.

These aren’t exactly two of the most explosive offenses in the NFL, but they score enough to beat a low total, which is why I’m taking the Over in my Browns vs. Raiders predictions.

Browns vs Raiders prediction

Browns vs Raiders Best bet: Over 36.5 (-104)

These are two of the worst offensive teams in the NFL this year, with the Cleveland Browns averaging 16.2 ppg and the Las Vegas Raiders doing even worse at 15.5 ppg. Yet despite those numbers, these aren’t necessarily teams that put up tiny totals week after week.

A lot of that is due to the fact that these teams – like most with 2-8 records – aren’t exactly defensively sound, either. Cleveland has given up 21+ points in six of its last seven games; Las Vegas has given up 30+ in four of its last six.

That has led both teams to trend to the Over lately, with the Browns notably having hit the Over in each of their last four games, all of which have had totals of 37+ points.

There are extra concerns about Cleveland’s offense, as they saw little to be enthusiastic about when Shedeur Sanders played his first NFL game last week. Sanders went just 4-of-16 for 47 yards and an interception in his debut.

But even with that performance, the Browns still managed to put up 16 points against the Baltimore Ravens, and we can’t assume Sanders will be as bad as he looked last week.

Even with Las Vegas also struggling to put up points, this total is simply too low. I’m taking the Over.

Browns vs Raiders same-game parlay

The Raiders may deserve to be a slight favorite at home, but I can’t take them to cover a spread of more than a field goal when they’ve only managed to win one game in their past nine.

I’ll also take Sanders to hit his rushing total, as I expect the Cleveland gameplan will involve him using his legs a bit more than we saw last week.

Browns vs Raiders SGP

  • Over 36.5
  • Browns +3.5
  • Shedeur Sanders Over 18.5 rushing yards

Our big-ticket SGP: Judkins has his way

With Sanders ineffective throwing the ball last week, I anticipate the Browns leaning heavily on the running game, and Quinshon Judkins has hit this total five times this year.

Judkins is also the best bet to score for Cleveland in this game, as he has five touchdowns on the ground this season.

Browns vs Raiders SGP

  • Over 36.5
  • Browns +3.5
  • Shedeur Sanders Over 18.5 rushing yards
  • Quinshon Judkins Over 70.5 rushing yards
  • Quinshon Judkins anytime TD

Browns vs Raiders odds

  • Spread: Browns +2 (-110) | Raiders -2 (-110)
  • Moneyline: Browns +130 | Raiders -155
  • Over/Under: Over 37.5 (-110) | Under 37.5 (-110)

Successful sports betting is about consistently beating the closing line value, which requires finding spots where one book is offering odds far better than the rest of the market and jumping on those opportunities.
