Argentina has the high ground in Atlanta, and this Round of 16 clash is set to be a lopsided one.

Lionel Messi’s Argentina face Egypt as massive -250 favorites on the three-way moneyline in the World Cup odds.

Egypt have been downright disgraceful at times, which is why my Argentina vs. Egypt predictions expect Messi's side to win by more than one goal.

Read on for my World Cup picks for Tuesday, July 7, with kickoff set for 12 p.m. ET on FOX.

 TOP PICK
Who will win Argentina vs Egypt: Argentina -1.5 (+119)

Through four games, Egypt have allowed an average xGA of 1.48 and have yet to keep a clean sheet. They drew a struggling Belgium side before falling to New Zealand, Iran, and Australia — all teams with less talent in the World Cup bracket.

Egypt’s issue is that all of their best players play in attacking positions, creating a hugely misbalanced team. Despite having an array of attacking talent, they were cowardly against Australia, sitting back and getting outplayed for large parts of the game before winning on penalties.

They cannot give Argentina the volume of chances they gave Australia. I’m expecting a strong Argentine victory and would play this to +100.

Covers COVERS INTEL: Egypt sport an average xG of 1.67 per game, which is actually lower than Lionel Messi’s personal xG average of 1.82 per 90 minutes played.

Argentina vs Egypt Over/Under pick: Over 2.5 (+101)

Entering Tuesday, Argentina have scored nine goals in four World Cup games.

Meanwhile, the Argentina backline can be got, particularly the two fullbacks. Egypt have strong players in wide positions, with Zico and Mohamed Salah able to operate effectively on those flanks, engaging their men and moving into the channels between the CB and FB.

There are some older legs in the Argentinian midfield and defense, and if Egypt are behind and forced to go for it, they should register a goal.
