The latest Broncos vs. 49ers weather report calls for a heat advisory covering Santa Clara as Denver visits unbeaten San Francisco today at 4:25 p.m. ET (CBS) from Levi's Stadium.

The forecast ahead of kickoff calls for temperatures climbing into the low 90s during the game. That could make it tough to keep players fresh during today's matchup, particularly for a San Francisco defensive line already missing several pieces.

Broncos vs 49ers weather forecast

This morning's National Weather Service forecast near Levi's Stadium calls for around 88 degrees near the 1:25 p.m. PT kickoff, rising to 91 by 3 p.m. before easing to 89 at 4 p.m.

Rain chances are just 1% during that stretch. North to northwest winds increase from around 2 mph near kickoff to 10 mph by 4 p.m. with gusts reaching 18 mph late in the afternoon. Heat remains the main weather concern.

The heat advisory for the Santa Clara Valley runs through 10 p.m. PT on Wednesday. Fans spending the afternoon in the stands should plan for regular water breaks and opportunities to cool down.

How weather could impact Broncos vs 49ers

San Francisco remains without defensive linemen Nick Bosa, Mykel Williams, and James Thompson Jr. The 49ers added depth Saturday by promoting Sebastian Valdez and elevating Matthew Judon, but sustained drives in the heat could still test that rotation. Jaylen Waddle is cleared to play alongside Courtland Sutton, giving Bo Nix two established targets to help keep those drives moving.

J.K. Dobbins is also cleared to play, meaning Denver will its leading rusher in tow against that depleted front. The Broncos are averaging just 81 rushing yards per game, though, so Dobbins still needs a strong performance to help Denver to establish its ground game. Productive early carries would help Denver extend drives and give its own defense a break from chasing an explosive offense behind Brock Purdy's MVP-level start.

Christian McCaffrey's role as both a runner and receiver gives him plenty to do in the heat, but the forecast alone isn't a reason to bench him in fantasy. Mike Evans will play despite his rib injury, but the heat could force San Francisco to rotate through its various passing options today in order to stay fresh.

Broncos vs 49ers prediction markets

As of earlier this morning, Kalshi's markets had San Francisco favored by 2.5 points with a 48.5-point total and roughly a 59% chance of a 49ers victory.

Geoff Clark is backing San Francisco -2.5 in his Broncos vs 49ers prediction, pointing to the 49ers' efficiency on first and second down. He also includes Dobbins Under 59.5 rushing yards in his combo, anticipating that Denver could have to throw more while trailing. The heat gives the Broncos another reason to avoid short possessions that send their defense straight back onto the field.
