The 23rd-ranked Missouri Tigers are coming off a much-needed win, but have yet to defeat a ranked team as they travel to Norman, OK, to take on the eighth-ranked Oklahoma Sooners on Saturday, November 22.

My early Missouri vs. Oklahoma predictions and college football picks expect the Sooners to keep their momentum rolling with a big home win.

Missouri vs Oklahoma predictions

Here are our early thoughts on the spread and total for this week’s game. We will have a full game preview (with a best bet and SGP) later in the week.

Early Missouri vs Oklahoma spread pick: Oklahoma -7.5

The Missouri Tigers got a big home win last week over the Mississippi State Bulldogs after losing three of their previous four games. However, a big issue that is presenting itself for the Tigers is that they are 0-3 against ranked opponents this season, with two of those games at home.

Meanwhile, the Oklahoma Sooners put themselves back into the College Football Playoff picture with a massive road win over the Alabama Crimson Tide. After losing to Texas and Ole Miss, the Sooners have now won four of their five games this season against ranked opponents.

If the Sooners finish their business by beating Missouri and LSU at home, they will almost be assured a playoff spot since they will most likely not be in the SEC title game. So, motivation will not be a problem against the Tigers here.

Beau Pribula will be returning for the Tigers, but the Sooners' defense is menacing. They rank eighth in the country in points allowed and have held six opponents to 17 or fewer points this season. The Tigers have scored 17 or fewer twice in their last three games.

Early Missouri vs Oklahoma total pick: Under 42.5

The Sooners just held the Crimson Tide to only 21 points last week after holding Tennessee to only 27 points. Both of those offenses are much more explosive than these Tigers. There is a very good chance that Missouri fails to reach 20 points.

While Oklahoma has shown signs of a very good offense with John Mateer at quarterback, they still only rank 63rd in points per game at 28.3 per contest. The Tigers' defense has struggled against top teams, but they still rank 26th in the country, allowing 19.9 points per game.

The Tigers allowed 27 to the Bulldogs and 38 to the Aggies in their last two games, but held every other SEC opponent to 27 or fewer points, including three games of 20 or fewer. This game feels like one where they struggle to score, but also don’t let Oklahoma just move the ball all over them.

Oklahoma has hit the Game Total Under in 10 of its last 13 games, and Missouri has hit the Team Total Under in five of its last seven games. While this is a low total, I still really like it to hit with a score line somewhere around a 27-13 win for the Sooners.
