The Miami Hurricanes are in the College Football Playoff, though few would envy their assignment as they head on the road to face the Texas A&M Aggies in a hostile environment.
Our Miami vs. Texas A&M predictions lean on Miami’s biggest advantage and see this first-round Playoff matchup producing at least one outright upset.

Miami vs Texas A&M best bets
Miami +3.5 (-122 at FanDuel)
A more cautious betting analyst would be arguing for Miami at +3.5, especially as long as that hook exists.
Instinct says it will fall to +3 before Saturday’s kickoff.

Under 48.5 (-118 at FanDuel)
Faith in two defensive lines is faith in an Under, isn’t it?
These are two offenses that prefer to throw the ball, both dropping back nearly 5% more often than an average team would in a given game state, but the stakes may prompt some early conservative play calling.
If leaning toward an Over, perhaps wait until after a low-scoring first half, and then catch a deflated number.
Miami vs Texas A&M TD pick
Mark Fletcher anytime touchdown (+175 at FanDuel)
Let’s talk about the Mark Fletcher side of things.
That’s a continuation of last season when he went dancing nine times, bringing his touchdown count up to 20 in his last 23 games played. That kind of consistency draws my attention.
Many view Texas A&M as a scary matchup due primarily to the defensive front led by Cashius Howell (14 TFLs). The thing is, Miami has a very capable offensive line (second in front seven havoc) and is uniquely poised to offset A&M’s front.
Miami may not light up the scoreboard, but the numbers indicate that the Hurricanes should find some offensive success. If they do score several touchdowns, there’s a pretty good chance that Fletcher gets one of them, so I’m all over this +175 price.
Miami vs Texas A&M prop pick
KC Concepcion Over 58.5 receiving yards (-114 at FanDuel)
For much of the year, the attention has gone to wideouts KC Concepcion and Mario Craver when discussing this Texas A&M Aggies passing game.
Although Ashton Bethel-Roman has emerged across the last five games with 277 receiving yards and four touchdown receptions, the redshirt freshman left the Texas game injured and was viewed with a notable limp in practice this week.
The onus should be on Concepcion and Craver this week, with a special emphasis on the latter. The NC State transfer leads the Aggies in targets (93), receptions (57), receiving yards (886), and touchdowns (9). He’s pushed his way up NFL Draft boards with his play, and will hope for another opportunity to make scouts drool in the CFP.
Miami’s defense is sound on a down-to-down basis, but it has a penchant for allowing big plays (101st in explosiveness). Concepcion is used as a field stretcher (12.7 aDOT) and has been remarkably efficient this season (2.71 yards per route run), so he has the talent to win this matchup.
