Caleb Williams injury isn't the only ailment to watch in Week 3. There are several stars on the injury report of this Monday night matchup between the Eagles and Bears. Jason Logan gives his early leans for MNF.

What a difference 24 hours makes.

Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams was being cheered and offered well wishes while being carted off the field in Week 2, looking like he had just suffered a serious injury.

Now, it appears Williams avoided the worst and might have a chance to play against the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football.

The QB’s fluctuating status has sent this Week 3 spread on a ride and makes my Eagles vs. Bears predictions hard to pin down.

I’ll work with what I’ve got, giving my early leans and NFL picks for prime time on September 28.

Early Eagles vs Bears spread pick: Eagles -3.5

Kalshi probability: 48%

I’m relieved Caleb Williams dodged a big injury bullet but I doubt he’s going to be ready to go for Week 3. And so do the Chicago Bears, tagging their QB as doubtful.

Williams is diagnosed with a hamstring pull, which is an injury that takes inactivity and time to heal. If he does play, he won’t be able to do his trademark scrambles to keep plays alive and runs a high risk of reaggravating the pull.

Backup Tyler Bagent is a capable alternative, however, he goes up against the Philadelphia Eagles defensive front and Vic Fangio’s phantom schemes in the secondary. Chicago’s offense will be very short and concise, leaning into the run and quicker passes.

The half point hook isn’t ideal for Eagles -3.5 backers, but I’d lean toward Philadelphia at this point in the week.

Early Eagles vs Bears total pick: Under 43.5

Kalshi probability: 49%

Chicago isn’t the only team dealing with injuries on offense.

Philadelphia will likely be without TE Dallas Goedert and RB Saquon Barkley is questionable after playing through a stinger in Week 2. The extra day of rest for MNF does go a long way for those players on the fence.

Philadelphia’s offense has sputtered a bit as it warms up to new offensive coordinator Sean Mannion, sitting 27th in success rate and 24th in first downs per game.

With the Bears keeping its playbook simple for a backup QB, I’m not expecting to see many fireworks on Monday night in Week 3. I’d lean Under until we get a clear look at the injuries.
