Hurricanes vs Rebels best bets
Miami -3.5 (-102 at FanDuel)
Mississippi may have the best offensive line that Miami has faced yet in the Playoff, but with how defensive ends Rueben Bain Jr. and Akheem Mesidor are playing, that should not matter.
Furthermore, Rebels quarterback Trinidad Chambliss is less of a scramble threat than Texas A&M’s Marcel Reed and less adept at getting rid of the ball under pressure than Ohio State’s Julian Sayin.
Expect the Miami Hurricanes’ defensive front to make Chambliss look like a Division II quarterback while Miami’s offense enjoys facing the worst defense it has seen in the CFP.

Under 52.5 (-108 at FanDuel)
Remember, 51 is a relatively key number in college football totals betting, so grabbing this Under at 52.5 is critical to maintaining its value.
Hurricanes vs Rebels TD pick
CJ Daniels anytime TD (+150 at FanDuel)
CJ Daniels is a bit of a forgotten man in the Miami offense. The Canes rely heavily on Mark Fletcher Jr. and the running game, and the electric freshman wideout Malachi Toney has seen his role in the offense grow as the season has gone on.
But Daniels began the year as Carson Beck’s favorite target. The big-bodied receiver proved great as a red zone threat catching 33 balls for 351 yards and six touchdowns in Miami’s first seven games.
Then an injury late in the season cost him four games and it looks like he’s just getting fully back up to speed now. Daniels was targeted six times, catching five of them for 49 yards in the win over Ohio State.
With guys like Fletcher and Toney getting most of the Rebels attention, Beck could fall back on his old reliable wideout in Daniels and I love the value with him to find the end zone in the Fiesta Bowl.
Hurricanes vs Rebels prop pick
Trinidad Chambliss Over 265.5 passing yards (-114 at FanDuel)
Trinidad Chambliss has been incredible this season. The Mississippi QB has burned opposing defenses with his dual threat ability, with Georgia being his latest victim in the Sugar Bowl.
Since taking over the starting job in Week 3, Chambliss has thrown for 3,601 yards with 20 touchdowns compared to just three interceptions while adding another 499 yards and eight scores on the ground.
He was outstanding in the win over the Bulldogs, throwing for 362 yards and two scoring strikes.
Now, Miami has a much better pass defense than Georgia had, but Chambliss’ dynamic ability is something that the Canes have rarely seen this season.
The two best comps are probably SMU’s Kevin Jennings and USF’s Byrum Brown. Those guys threw for 365 and 274 yards, respectively.
Combine that with the idea that I expect Mississippi to be trailing in this matchup and forced into more throwing situations and I like Chambliss to eclipse his passing yard prop in the Fiesta Bowl.
