It's Tuddy time. My college football anytime touchdown picks target five distinct matchup advantages, including the most efficient running quarterback in the country and four receivers with clear scoring roles against vulnerable pass defenses.

Gio Lopez offers the best role-to-price value, while Jemyri Davis is the long shot worth backing against one of the nation’s leakiest secondaries. Check out all of our college football picks for Week 9.

Pick #1: Gio Lopez anytime touchdown

ProphetX probability: 52%

Gio Lopez is the most efficient runner in college football this season. The Wake Forest quarterback leads all qualified rushers at 0.73 EPA per rush with a 69.2% success rate, and his six rushing touchdowns on 52 carries lead the team. Ty Clark III and Deuce Lawrence split the backfield work, but neither has more than four scores.

Virginia’s defense holds up against the pass but leaks on the ground. The Cavaliers rank 97th in EPA per rush allowed and 119th in rushing success rate. Wake Forest owns the nation’s top offense by EPA per play and is a double-digit home favorite, so the red-zone trips should come.

Near the goal line, Lopez is the Deacons’ best weapon.

  • Matchup: Wake Forest vs. Virginia
  • Date/Time: Saturday, Oct. 31 at 3:45 p.m. ET.
  • Location: Allegacy Federal Credit Union Stadium, Winston-Salem, North Carolina
  • TV: ESPN2

Pick #2: Cam Coleman anytime touchdown

ProphetX probability: 49%

Ryan Wingo leads Texas in catches, but Cam Coleman is the Longhorn who finishes drives. Coleman has six touchdowns on just 20 receptions, the most on the roster, while posting 0.71 EPA per target.

Mississippi State is a soft landing spot for that scoring role. The Bulldogs rank 110th in EPA per dropback allowed and 116th in passing success rate, and they allowed 31 points to LSU and 56 to Alabama during a brutal October.

Texas hasn’t found much on the ground, with lead back Raleek Brown averaging under five yards per carry, so the end zone has come through the air. When Arch Manning looks for six, Coleman has been the answer, and his price sits below a coin flip.

  • Matchup: Texas vs. Mississippi State
  • Date/Time: Saturday, Oct. 31 at 7:30 p.m. ET.
  • Location: DKR-Texas Stadium, Austin, Texas
  • TV: ESPN

Pick #3: Chase Sowell anytime touchdown

ProphetX probability: 53%

Penn State’s season has gone sideways with four straight losses, but the Nittany Lions come out of their bye against the worst pass defense on their schedule. Purdue ranks 126th in EPA per dropback allowed and 129th in passing success rate.

Chase Sowell is Rocco Becht’s clear top target. He leads Penn State with 33 catches, 510 yards, and three touchdowns on 51 targets, posting a 60.8% success rate and 0.67 EPA per target. No other Penn State pass catcher has more receiving scores.

The ground game offers little help. None of the three backs with 30-plus carries is averaging more than 4.0 yards per attempt. Penn State is a touchdown favorite, and Sowell is the most reliable route to six.

  • Matchup: Penn State vs. Purdue
  • Date/Time: Saturday, Oct. 31 at 4:15 p.m. ET
  • Location: Beaver Stadium, State College, Pennsylvania
  • TV: Big Ten Network

Pick #4: Horatio Fields anytime touchdown

ProphetX probability: 32%

Kewan Lacy is out with a dislocated shoulder, which pulls Ole Miss’ lead back and his five rushing touchdowns out of the red-zone mix. That shifts more of the scoring load to the passing game, and Horatio Fields has been Trinidad Chambliss’ finisher.

Fields has four touchdowns on 22 catches, including both of Chambliss’ touchdown passes in last week’s comeback at Texas. Deuce Alexander draws more volume, but Fields offers a much better price on a similar end-zone role.

Auburn ranks 80th in passing success rate allowed and just gave up 387 passing yards to LSU’s Sam Leavitt. Ole Miss is laying nearly two touchdowns at home, which points to plenty of trips inside the 20.

  • Matchup: Ole Miss vs. Auburn
  • Date/Time: Saturday, Oct. 31 at 12:45 p.m. ET
  • Location: Vaught-Hemingway Stadium, Oxford, Mississippi
  • TV: SEC Network

Pick #5: Jemyri Davis anytime touchdown

ProphetX probability: 35%

Army’s defense has been one of the most generous pass units in the country, ranking 129th in EPA per dropback allowed and 111th in passing success rate. Memphis quarterback Marcus Stokes has the arm to attack it, with 21 touchdown passes and 8.79 yards per dropback.

Jemyri Davis is the efficiency play in that receiver room. He has turned 22 targets into 19 receptions, 325 yards, and four touchdowns, posting 1.03 EPA per target and a 68.2% success rate, both top-20 marks among qualified receivers. Hunter Tipton and Stonka Burnside see more volume, yet Davis has four touchdowns of his own.

  • Matchup: Memphis vs. Army
  • Date/Time: Saturday, Oct. 31 at 8 p.m. ET
  • Location: Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium, Memphis, Tennessee
  • TV: ESPNU
