Who will win the LA Bowl?
One could look at Boise State’s three-game winning streak and suggest the Broncos closed the season strong. But that would be a bit imprecise.
Boise State needed to come back from a 21-10 deficit at Utah State in the regular-season finale to thus reach the Mountain West title game. As much as the Broncos finished the season strong, they tempted all sorts of fates of it ending terribly.
Give deference to the better team, Washington.

In normal circumstances, the Washington Huskies would win the LA Bowl with ease. But normal circumstances would include an offseason with plenty of study on the Boise State Broncos and some amount of each week spent keeping tabs on the Broncos.
Normal circumstances would have included an outlined game plan ready by Monday for the Huskies roster to start studying.
Instead, this bowl game was settled only on Sunday afternoon. Coaches had barely watched film by Monday. Game plans were possibly not installed until the teams were already traveling to Los Angeles.
We saw conservative game plans to open bowl season last year, with South Alabama beating Western Michigan, 30-23. They barely fell short of the total of 54, but credit four explosive scores from the Jaguars for that sweat.
Neither of these defenses are likely to give up such explosives, certainly not if the offenses keep things vanilla. How exotic could Washington head coach Jedd Fisch possibly get this week while he continues to sniff around other jobs?
