We have another stacked Saturday of NCAA hoops action, including a Big 12 clash between No. 8-ranked Houston and No. 16 BYU.
My college basketball picks are betting on Houston to pick up a big road win, and I'm also backing Georgia and UCLA as I build a three-team moneyline parlay on Saturday, February 7.
Best of all, this parlay has been BOOSTED by our friends at bet365 from +359 to +405.
College basketball moneyline parlay for February 7
Georgia vs
LSU
Time: 6:00 p.m. ET
Location: Baton Rouge, LA
TV: SEC Network
Pick: Georgia (-135)
After a red-hot start to the season, the Georgia Bulldogs have cooled off, losing three straight. That said, those defeats came at the hands of Texas A&M, Tennessee, and Texas, all of which are better than the LSU Tigers.
The Tigers are just 2-7 in conference play, with one of those wins coming in overtime against SEC bottom-feeder South Carolina. LSU has struggled to generate offense without star guard Dedan Thomas Jr. (15.3 points per game, 6.5 assists per game), who is out again today with a foot injury.
Without Thomas, LSU won't keep pace with an up-tempo UGA attack that takes care of the ball, crashes the offensive glass, and shoots a sizzling 58.4% inside the arc.
Washington vs
UCLA
Time: 10:00 p.m. ET
Location: Los Angeles, CA
TV: FOX Sports 1
Pick: UCLA (-245)
On paper, the Washington Huskies have a squad that's talented, experienced, and deep enough to be ranked. But games aren't played on paper, and the Huskies have lost seven of 10.
The Huskies are 1-8 in Quad 1 games, which doesn't bode well for a road trip to Pauley Pavilion, where they haven't won since 2015. The UCLA Bruins have won four of their last five and are 13-1 at home.
The Bruins do a great job knocking down threes (18th in the country in 3PT%) and defending them (26th in 3-point defense). The Huskies are 258th in 3PT%, and that 3-point shooting disparity will be too much to overcome on the road.
Houston vs
BYU
Time: 10:30 p.m. ET
Location: Provo, UT
TV: ESPN
Pick: Houston (-130)
The BYU Cougars have dropped four of their last five, while the Houston Cougars are on a 14-1 run.
It's never easy to go to Provo and come away with a victory, but Houston has done it both times it's made the trip, including two years ago when it dismantled BYU 75-68.
Both teams have highly efficient offenses, but BYU has looked shaky on D, while Kelvin Sampson's squad ranks ninth in the country in adjusted defense. Houston's elite rim protection with JoJo Tuggler and Chris Cenac will slow freshman sensation A.J. Dybantsa down and lead to a win.
