The No. 6 ranked Purdue Boilermakers try to bounce back from an ugly loss as they host the Minnesota Golden Gophers on Wednesday night.
Early money has come in on the Boilermakers who are now installed as 20-point favorites and my Minnesota vs. Purdue predictions are laying the points with the home side.

Minnesota vs Purdue best bet: Purdue -20 (-110)
The Minnesota Golden Gophers are fresh off an upset win against Indiana last week. However, that snapped a three-game skid for the Gophers who have lost by double digits to Missouri, San Francisco, and Santa Clara.
The Purdue Boilermakers are coming off a humiliating 23-point loss at home against Iowa State last Saturday. Prior to that defeat, they were the No. 1 ranked team in the country and had gone 8-0 with wins against No. 12 Alabama and No. 16 Texas Tech.
The Boilermakers lost to the No. 4 Cyclones because their usually efficient offense had an off night. They came into that contest shooting 41.8% from deep and 77.3% from the line, while averaging 9.5 turnovers per game.
However, they went just 4-18 from the arc and 6-14 from the charity stripe with 15 turnovers against ISU's elite defense. They'll have a much easier time against Minnesota who is 212th in the country in opponent turnover rate and outside the Top 300 in 3-point defense (37.2%).
The Gophers offense has been heavily reliant on getting to the line, leading the country in free throw line. However, Purdue does an excellent job of defending without fouling, ranking second in opponent FT rate.
With Minnesota struggling to get calls on the road and a highly-motivated Purdue squad going ballistic from long range, back the Boilermakers to win big here.

If the Boilermakers want to cover this massive spread they'll need to have success from beyond the arc. That means plenty of treys from their best shooter in Fletcher Loyer who is knocking down 3.0 triples per game at a 46.6% clip.
This leg of the SGP pays out at +130 and pairs nicely with the Over 1.5 assists for Oscar Cluff who has eclipsed this number in six of nine games. The center does a good job of kicking the ball out to open perimeter players when he gets the ball inside.
