Nuggets vs Timberwolves best bet: Naz Reid Over 12.5 points (-115)
Naz Reid finished with just 11 total points through the Minnesota Timberwolves' first two games, but he came alive in Sunday’s win over the Pacers with 16. Anthony Edwards was forced out of that game early due to a hamstring injury, which resulted in additional scoring opportunities for Reid.
The 2023-24 Sixth Man of the Year has averaged 13.8 points per game across the last two seasons and posted at least 13 in 89 of 161 appearances. Reid has been a more productive scorer at home than on the road in that span.
Reid scored at least 13 points in four of his last six regular-season matchups with the Denver Nuggets, and he’ll look to build on that momentum from Sunday’s strong showing. Edwards may not be ready to go on the second leg of a back-to-back set, and someone’s got to get buckets if he's unable to go or less than 100%.
The Nuggets have allowed 124 points per game this season, eighth-most in the Association. This is not a scary matchup for Reid, who should have no problem hitting the Over on this modest scoring line
