The Chicago Bulls are on the last leg of a four-game road trip with nothing but losses to show to this point – a big reason they’re 8.5-point underdogs against the Orlando Magic tonight.
My Bulls vs Magic predictions and NBA picks have Orlando beating up on its road-weary opponent, even with star Paolo Banchero (groin) missing a fourth straight game.
Bulls vs Magic prediction
Bulls vs Magic best bet: Magic -9 (-110)
Since a 4-6 start to the season, the Orlando Magic have found their groove, ripping off wins in eight of their last 10, capped with a big 112-109 victory in Detroit to wrap up a three-game road trip in style.
The Magic are doing it on both ends of the court during this fun run, averaging 122.5 points, which ranks sixth in the NBA. However, the biggest change has been on the defensive side.
Already a Top 10 scoring defense, they’ve jumped to fifth-best during this streak, allowing just 111.9 points per game.
Banchero got hurt early against the Knicks on November 22, but Orlando hasn’t skipped a beat, winning three of the four games without their All-Star, as they open a three-game homestand.
Remember when the Chicago Bulls were 5-0? That sweet start is long gone, as the Bulls have dropped three straight and four of five.
Chicago has been bleeding points on this road trip, allowing 123 points per game over three losses. It’s worse when you see the competition: NOLA, the worst team in the West, and Charlotte and Indiana, both Bottom-4 teams in the East, with a combined 10-30 record.
The Bulls are getting eaten alive inside, allowing 55.7 paint points per game, with only Washington below them.
Orlando feasts in the painted area, punching in 54.2 points per contest, good for fourth in the league, and it's also good in other margins, ranking Top 3 in both second-chance points and fast-break points.
That’s why, even without Banchero, they will beat up on a struggling Bulls team at the tail end of a gruelling road trip.

Our "from downtown" SGP: I Put a Spell on You
Josh Giddey has led the Bulls in at least one of the big three stats in each of the last eight games, but we’ll focus on his rebounds, where he has delivered at least nine in four of his last five outings, and three of four games against the Magic since joining the Bulls.
Let’s wrap with Tristan da Silva, who’s hit a slight skid in his 3-point shooting, connecting on one or fewer from distance in three of his last four games. Three of those were on the road, but he’s been much better at home, where he's shooting 37.5% from beyond the arc in his last seven games (15-for-40).
