Favorite to win the Bass Pro Shops Night Race
Kyle Busch takes pole position on the odds board this week, as a +400 favorite to win the Bass Pro Shops Night Race. Despite a recent slump, Busch has been one of the most consistent drivers on the circuit overall this year, posting Top-10 finishes in nine of 12 races from May to August. He's also a three-time past champ in this race, most recently in 2017.
Right behind in second on the odds board at +450 is current Cup Series leader and betting favorite Kyle Larson. Larson has been on an absolute tear this summer, and despite cooling off slightly since winning four straight, has still posted a Top-3 finish (including a victory at Watkins Glen) in four of his past six races.
Denny Hamlin sits third on the odds board (+600) as a two-time past Bass Pro champ (2012, 2019). Hamlin appears to be putting on a sincere playoff push. He broke his winless slump two weekends ago by taking the checkered flag at Darlington for his first 2021 victory, and followed that up with a runner-up finish in Richmond.
Defending Cup Series champ Chase Elliot sits fourth at +800, while another two-time past champ, Joey Logano, rounds out the Top 5 at +1,000
How to bet on NASCAR
The most popular way to bet on NASCAR is by simply picking the winner of a race, which is also referred to as an outright. There are plenty of other ways to wager, including betting on whether or not a driver will finish in the Top 3 or Top 10 of a race.
Another popular betting option is head-to-head matchup betting, where sportsbooks pair up two drivers and you choose who you think will finish better in the race, which is far easier than trying to select someone to win out of a field of approximately 40 drivers.
