The Tampa Bay Rays hit the road tonight for the beginning of a three-game series with the Detroit Tigers at Comerica Park.

Yandy Diaz is driving in runs consistently, and my Rays vs. Tigers predictions will dive into why I expect that to continue. Read more in my MLB picks for Monday, July 7.

Rays vs Tigers prediction

My Rays vs Tigers best bet: Yandy Diaz Over 0.5 RBI (+180 at Caesars)

Yandy Diaz has been one of the Tampa Bay Rays’ best players this season. He’s hitting .289 with 14 home runs and 52 RBI in 84 games. The 33-year-old is swinging it with authority at the moment, driving in an RBI in four straight games.

Also, Diaz just had three RBI across a three-game set with the Twins, and that was on the road. Exactly 26 of his RBI have come away from home, and the Rays visit the Detroit Tigers tonight, who have yet to announce who will take the mound.

He’s hitting .500 against Detroit this season in 14 at-bats with a pair of RBI. Diaz will stay hot this evening and keep his RBI streak going.

Caesars QuickPick: Our Rays vs Tigers same-game parlay (SGP)

Yandy Diaz Over 0.5 RBI

Yandy Diaz Over 1.5 total bases

Tigers moneyline

We’ll stick with Diaz for part of my SGP. As I previously mentioned, he’s been a star against the Tigers this year, going 7-for-14 with a double and a home run. Diaz just cashed the Over in total bases in Sunday’s series finale against the Twins, finishing 2-for-5 with a single and a double.

The veteran has hit the Over in total bases in three of his last five appearances. He’s batting .263 in July so far with five hits, and three of them have been for extra bases.

The Tigers are one of the best teams in baseball, and they’ve won four of their last six against Tampa Bay. Detroit comes into this series hot, having just swept the Guardians across a three-game set. This team has won three straight and gone 7-3 in their last 10 contests.

Also, the Tigers are elite at home, compiling a 30-14 record. They will return to Comerica Park with a bang tonight and grab yet another victory.
