MLB public betting
UPDATE 8 P.M. ET TUESDAY: As with other books, FanDuel is seeing more action on the underdog tonight, with Tampa Bay taking 66 percent of tickets and 58 percent of cash on the moneyline. And on the total, tickets and money are both running around 9/1 to the Over.
UPDATE 6:30 P.M. ET TUESDAY: "Consistent Rays action throughout yesterday and today has brought the line down," PointsBet USA's Patrick Eichner said. Tampa Bay is attracting 65 percent of tickets and 62 percent of money. The total has a stronger consensus, with 86 percent of bets/87 percent of tickets on the Over. "The book will be rooting for the Dodgers to close it out tonight and the Under to hit," Eichner said. Among World Series Game 6 prop offerings, Eichner said the most popular play is on a prop bet of either Cody Bellinger or Mookie Betts hitting a home run. PointsBet USA is offering a price booster on that prop, moving it from -125 to -105.
UPDATE 3:15 P.M. ET TUESDAY: At DraftKings, the Rays continue to draw the bulk of tickets and money, at 66 percent and 62 percent, respectively. The public is more intrigued by the Dodgers -1.5 (+145) on the runline, at 61 percent of bets and 69 percent of money in that market. The public is almost always on board for the Over, and Game 6 is no different, with 82 percent of bets/90 percent of dollars expecting more than 8 runs tonight.
UPDATE 3:15 P.M. ET MONDAY: Early Game 6 action at DraftKings is tilted toward the underdog Rays, who are attracting 63 percent of moneyline bets and 74 percent of moneyline handle. There's more consensus on the total, with 69 percent of bets/80 percent of money on the Over.
Odds to win the World Series
Prior to Game 5, The SuperBook had the series price at Dodgers -200/Rays +175. Now, with Los Angeles one step away from the title, it’s up to Dodgers -650/Rays +475.
Behind the counter, SuperBook oddsmakers would much prefer this matchup get to Game 7 and, from there, Tampa Bay to win.
“The Rays are awesome for us,” SuperBook executive director John Murray said prior to Game 1. “We’re a small loser to the Dodgers.”
