Home run pick: Shohei Ohtani (+250)

Shohei Ohtani seems to be finally turning the corner. The reigning NL MVP has not put up his usual eye-popping numbers this season, but he’s been in a groove over the past few weeks.

Over his past nine games, the Los Angeles Dodgers superstar leads the majors in batting average (.467), wxOBA (.530), and sits second in slugging percentage (.867).

Ohtani will enjoy a favorable matchup against Milwaukee Brewers starter Brandon Sproat. The right-hander has allowed at least one dinger in four of his last five starts and carries a massive 5.75 ERA this season.

Home run pick: Kyle Schwarber (+325)

Kyle Schwarber remains the only man to reach the 20-home run mark this season, thanks to a run of nine dingers in an eight-game span earlier this month. The Philadelphia Phillies slugger is due to add to his homer totals today vs. the Cleveland Guardians.

Parker Messick got off to a solid start in his second MLB season, but the Guardians starter has stumbled in May, getting rocked for five home runs over his last four outings.

Schwarber is tied for second in homers vs. southpaws (six), while Citizens Bank Park has the sixth-highest Park Factor in the MLB (102).
